We quickly realized its really good for charging small power banks, in full sun and only 1 at a time! I’m not sure if I could survive on a 7-day camping trip with that little bit of solar charge, especially if there is only partial sun. When we tested this on a cloudy day, it took 2-full days to charge a small power bank!!! Also, it’s heavy, and not waterproof like others I’ve seen.     • Charged my iPhone SE in about 3 hours

The unit seems well made and the fabric looks like it will hold up well to a little bit of abuse. Lay it out flat or used the included carabiners to hang it. I used this to charge an iPhone SE on a modestly sunny day and the charge finished in about 3 hours. I also tried out the connectors for a laptop but couldn't get my laptop to indicate that it was being charged. I've been waiting for a super bright/sunny day to retest the laptop charging but the weather simply won't cooperate. If you're going to use this with a laptop, you'll need lots and lots of sunshine. My smaller devices (phone, speakers, flashlights, portable power brick etc.) all charged up without any trouble so the panels are a success for me. I did also try charging my phone by laying the panels near a full glass patio door. While my phone did register as being charged, the charge level indicator on the phone never changed so just wasn't getting enough sun when used indoors. Outdoor charging gets you your best result. When charging item outdoors, you'll want to protect them from the sun and so I slid my phone inside the units pouch where all the ports are. I might consider adding a 6ft or 10ft USB extension cable to my setup. This way I can lay out the panels in direct sunlight and them keep a speaker/phone etc. some distance away under a bit of shade. ... show more
