Between my wife and I we have 11 pair of glasses including sun glasses — degassed for 10 minutes — heated tap water to 100 degrees F — put a few drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid in,( 1000 uses for Dawn, this is one of them ) — stirred the water and selected the wave function — stopped after 3 minutes on each pair — dabbed then off with a microfiber towel and like magic had 10 pair of like new clean glasses — there was one pair that I wear all the time that still smeared from my body oils so I used my fingers and water with some Dawn, put them in the cleaner without rinsing and 3 minutes later dabbed them dry and then had 11 pairs of perfectly clean glasses — much more satisfying to watch the glasses with nose pads and see the stream of oils float off like smoke off a fire — there is only a slight buzzing noise as this is running — much less than my electric flosser, toothbrush , razor or nasal washer — never run an ultrasonic cleaner without a substantial amount of fluid in it or it will vibrate itself to death — nothing magical about these, they just have gizmos that vibrate the bottom of the container at very high frequencies transmitting these vibrations through the fluid — microscopic bubbles are formed — they break creating a vacuum pulling away whatever is on the item being cleaned — this unit does all that very well — has 2 of those gizmos which is a plus — I definitely recommend this unit because it degasses, heats, has the wave technology for more even cleaning, touch switches to set heat and time, goes up to 30 minutes, has a quality basket and lid and finally has a removable cord with a durable on-off switch separate from the control panel on the front — it may be 2 or 3 times the price and size of the smaller less functional units but you get all that extra functionality and durability for uses that you haven’t even thought of ... show more

If you have a reasonably good understanding of how these things work, you will have no problems. If you need to rely on and instruction manual, refer to generic on-line advice. The machine seems to be of good quality with all the features needed for most applications. My usage is limited to cleaning machine parts, and for that this machine is prefect. I would be hesitant to put delicate or fragile items in this, or any other ultrasonic device, unless specifically designed for that purpose. ... show more

So far there is little not to like about this Ultrasonic cleaner. It does a good job of cleaning but I'm still experimenting with cleaning solutions. I tested the temperature of the solution and with the thermostat set for 104 degrees (40 degrees C.), the solution was at 110 degree. Temperature remained stable. I've only used it 3 times and it looks like some small rust spots are appearing in the stainless steel tub. I am going to try and clean them off. If it's really rusting, I will drop a star on my rating. The main incentive of purchasing this unit was the size and the price. I use it to clean small engine parts and antique Clock Movements. Awesome cleaner, I used it to clean motorcycle carburetors and other small parts, added a small amount of dishwashing liquid and set the temperature to 60 Celsius at 90 minutes 👍🏻

I used this cleaner for the first time and was pleased with the results. In just a few minutes (3) I had cleaned several rings and a pair of glasses. There are several settings to choose from depending on what you will use it for. The only thing that did not work properly was the digital read out of time remaining.
