This hardware cloth is the right size to fence in the base of the chicken coop. We needed something that could be buried underground about 1 foot deep to keep the foxes from getting to the chickens. The stainless steel version allows us to bury it underground and hopefully last through the moisture elements. Our coop already has chicken wire and reinforcement fencing in place as support so this is another layer. That is important to note with this product as the cloth is a very thin gauge material. However, so far it seems strong enough to be a deterrent to the wild animals. NOTE: Read the specifications carefully. This is a 0.6mm hardware cloth and not a heavier gauge fencing so the wire is strong, but thin. This makes it very useful for applications that require something easy to bend or form, but be aware of the thin gauge if using it in high wear and tear locations

I bought this stainless hardware screen for bird covers for the exhaust/intake pipes on my demand hot water heater and high efficiency boiler...the darn birds were determined to build nests in the exterior pipe outlets...the product worked well for this... it's a lighter guage mesh then most other galvanized hardware cloth...would be nice if they sold it in smaller rolls...for smaller projects...it easy to cut...I used tin snips...guess not much else to add...

This hardware cloth looks great - every year I plant green beans and sunflower seeds and every year something gets in and eats them before they even have time to sprout. Critters also get into my tomato plants and eat the tomatoes off the vine before they start turning red. Squirrels get into my planters and pulling plants out. This hardware cloth looks like it could be the answer. It is sturdy, not a lot will be able to make it through the little holes (I may have to cut a few places so the pollinators can get in easier), and easy to cut with my wire cutters. It is also taller than most of the hardware cloth I have purchased in the past which will allow the plants to grow larger before having to remove the top. I will be buying more before Spring!

I ordered this to make an enclosure of sorts for our cat, by modifying the garage door area. She loves to go into the garage, and I will use this wire mesh to provide some ventilation for her. It is of good quality. The only (slight) negative is that it's a pain it is to get the black plastic shrink wrap off of it. It says in the description that it can be cut with heavy scissors, but due to its thickness I think wire cutters are a better choice. It is also described as being 39" high, but the roll I received was just a little under 41". I am very pleased with this wire mesh and highly recommend it.

I was expecting a much heavier hardware cloth like what is offered at the big box stores. This hardware cloth is very lightweight and can be easily cut with scissors. I have been using it to keep critters from eating my freshly planted bulbs and for that, this product has been great. I can cut it with my regular scissors, it is light-weight, it easily forms into any shape that I need, and has a very tight grid. I used landscape staples to keep it in place and it easily conforms to the shape of the ground. Hopefully, the little critters will find it too uncomfortable on their little paws to dig up my bulbs. I can imagine this product would be excellent for many crafty-type projects.
