The depth of my puck was not the 19.2mm advertised nor what was mentioned in the document that came with the product. To be safe, you should measure it when you receive it to check the depth for yourself. The metal plate on the top of mine was also slightly tilted (very small amount, just a difference of 0.03mm from one side to the other), so if yours is the same way, where you have the bit contact the plate will also affect how your z-axis zeros. So before you do any CNC work and potentially ruin any material, use some good calipers and measure for yourself and replace the size in the G92 code with what your size is. Or better yet, make one for yourself. I should have realized that before I purchased this, but this is such a simple product, you could build one for less than $5... Two jumper wires, an alligator clip, a piece of metal that you know the depth of, and some solder and you've now made the same thing. At least this way you can be sure of the exact depth. I ended up making one out of a utility knife blade that I dulled down. Took less than 10 min.

I bought this for a 3018 pro. the puck is a little thick for this machine, as I use a 1/4" spoiler board on top of the bed, and with a 3/4" work piece the puck is to thick, my puck measured 19mm I ended up removing the puck and soldering the wire to a washer and it now works great.

I have a 3018PROVer CNC Router that is down at the moment so I haven't shown this installed/in use. This is a simple alligator clip with a wire which together with the metal flat touch plate can let me set a Zero Point for my router Z Axis. The touch plate is a simple flat bolt head that is in a plastic round holder together with a ~32" wire to allow attaching to my CNC router control board. The only specific instructions are included. A similar item has listing instructions which may be of help so I've included them: "How to use: Connect the wire of this tool check instrument is connected to the tool setting interface of the control board. The alligator clip is connected to the ground wire of the control wire (the alligator clip can be clamped on the spindle, but the spindle bottom plate must be connected). When the tool is reached, the tool setting process is completed. Note: After connecting the tool holder to the tool holder, start the device (do not start the spindle motor). Do not rush to clamp the alligator clip to the spindle. First, touch the knife block with the alligator clip to test whether there is a knife action. Confirm that there is no problem and then clip the spindle to achieve automatic tool setting. 1. White (i.e. RED in this item) wire is connected to the control card tool signal 2. Black wire is connected to the control card GND signal" The GRBL code for using this appears in the tiny included instruction sheet: I Quote:"Please change the probe order (within 50mm height) in your Grbl software: G90G21G38.2Z-40F100; G92Z1.6; G0Z10 ". As that may be of use to someone I have put it here in this review. If you use a small CNC machine like the 3018pro, then you know what this does. It is a very simple item that does a very specialized job. Quality is good. Instructions are sparse, but easily available online. Take heed of the GRBL code instruction.
