These are great quality. My seedlings seem extremely healthy and healthy growing in them this year. It's a really nice step up from the large flimsy trays I previously had. These ones provide plenty of space for the roots to grow before you have to pot them up to a bigger size and the plants are really doing well, I have roots reaching out of them already. The clear outside container is REALLY helpful because you can see how much water to add so easily - this makes it simple to keep the balance so that nothing is drowning or drying out. I'm really happy with these and wish I ordered more when I got my first ones. The other ones I found have a solid green outside container so I need to lift the trays out to see what's going on in there. Clear is definitely the way to go. I had to go away for a work trip and my husband who has never been involved with seeds or keeping plants alive, was able to easily keep my tomato starts alive since he could see when they needed water. I definitely recommend these.

I love the high top on these as sometimes my plants get a little leggy and I like having the extra room so everything can stay nice and humid. This is important for me since my grow area is in my living room where our pellet stove is. Very sturdy and getting plants outs is way easier than the cheap plastic ones. I look forward to buying larger capacity ones next year. The only reason i didn't go 5 star is that it is so snug when it is on that it makes it a little tricky to open in the tight spaces I have them in. Also, pulling the tray up to water the base is a little tricky as I have no nails and you really have to get under the lip.

The media could not be loaded. I attached a video review to share how Outstanding this item is! I’m so happy with my purchase! I did notice after I completed the video that one of the corners on one of my trays had a small piece broken off. Not enough to get me to return this fabulous piece of gardening equipment. I am so tired of peat pots that year after year seem to invite fungus gnats into my seedlings. This year, I can do without those peat containers and be able to safely pushup the seedling to transplant! This will prevent the loss of soil around the plants.I can also use them over and over again! When the season is over, they nest inside each for a nice small use of space. I was concerned the trays would be flimsy but they were very strong. Even the tools were amazing! I appreciate the added touch the marker and pen added as well. One more thing… in the video you will notice I struggled attaching the vent to the lid. After I recorded this video I placed the vent, upside down on a solid surface. I placed the lid over it (also upside down), pressed evenly and it snapped into place immediately. This was hands down an excellent purchase and I will likely buy another! I’ve never made a video before. I hope you like it! I know you will not be disappointed by the quality and sturdiness of this product! PS I plan to use this with soil and also these awesome plugs I found on Amazon!

I have planted marigolds, lavender, and rosemary in them so far. Marigolds per the seed packet germinate 5 to 8 days. Using this product, most germinated in 3 days. Out of 12 cells (6 cells each container) 10 sprouted. Lavender, per the seed packet, germinate 15 to 20 days. The front 2 cells, had 2 germinate in 8 days. Those were the 2 closest to the window. So I elevated the other side so the rest of the cells would get more direct light, hopefully that will help. The rosemary, per the seed packet germinate 10 to 20 days. None have germinated. I am trying elevating them as well. Rosemary has a low germination rate so I'm not frustrated with this product. Also, it's only been 8 days. There is still hope. Glad I got these, good for beginners. The tools are also helpful. I used a potting soil and a raised bed soil for each set of marigolds. Both are doing good. I used the potting soil for the lavender and the rosemary. For the humidity dome, I never fully closed it. I got best results from half open. Once I had sprouts I removed the lid. I did have some stragglers so i kept the vent open and lightly put the dome on, I didnt seal it. If kept on too long it can harm the sprouts. It is also easy to remove plants ready for transplant to a different pot/container. The squeeze bottom is great. I also like the bottom piece of the container so you can water from the bottom, encouraging the roots to reach to get the water. Also, it helps with the humidity dome, keeping things moist as the water evaporates.

My seeds grew great in these. The lights actually worked really well, I accidentally ran over my trays but I kept the lids and lights I liked them so much. They hold a good amount of water in the lower tray. The little shovels make it easier to get your pods out. Use a soil/substrate that will hold together when you go to transplant the sprouts!

Very impressed with this seed starter kit. For the price I thought it would be flimsy plastic but workable. It is sturdy all around, every part of it. The small tools are fantastic and made planting easy. Used Burpee pellets and had 12 seedlings planted in no time. The tops have adjustable venting. The grow lights, I assumed would be unusable or cheap are also really good for the price. (I haven't used grow lights before.) The included plant markers are great quality. Everything you need is in this kit (except dirt) and it will totally be reusable for years. Really, I assumed it would be for one time use and toss in the garbage. Seriously nothing I dislike about it and I would totally recommend this. Would buy again if I needed more.
