I got this for a 7 year old and I think she's going to love it. The guitar looks great, very similar to my classical guitar and the size should be just right for her. The mahogany version really looks nice. The included tuner worked like a charm and I didn't have much trouble tuning the guitar. Of course the strings stretch so I'm periodically retuning it so it will be more stable by Christmas. The guitar, accessories, and case are a great deal for the price and I'm very happy with the purchase. It does not have fretboard dots so I did buy some dots to put on the appropriate frets and top side of neck. ... show more

We got this for our daughter for her 8th birthday and purple is her favorite color. The guitar is nice, but the color is way darker than the picture. The picture is more of a magenta or fuschia purple, but in reality, it's a dark violet. The case sucks and reminds me of something I'd get at a dollar store. (No judgements, I shop at the Dollar Tree, but for a guitar you want better quality) It does include all that you see in the picture though, so that's nice, especially the extra strings, which is great, because nylon stretches over time. This guitar came with all my granddaughter needs to get started learning how to play. It also comes with a nice fabric case. The pink color is beautiful. She was thrilled to get it for her birthday. It was a great price, easy to tune and sounds great.

This item was purchased for our 9 yr. old granddaughter’s birthday. It is made well, but has a couple of issues. The top strings are metal, while the bottom ones are nylon. The nylon ones break easily. Extra nylons are included, but they just keep breaking. Also the guitar is constantly needing tuning, due to the cheap nylon strings. We’ve contacted the seller about the issues and asked if we could purchase some more metal strings to replace the nylon ones, but we’ve never gotten a response. Wouldn’t purchase again for the issues listed and because of the poor customer service . ... show more
