I work on computers and thought that these magnetic bowls would work better than magnetic mats. For the most part these work very well, the magnets are strong and hold the screws very well. The only problem is there is a deadzone in the center where the magnet is weak. If you accidentally knock the bowl or you have too many screws, the screws near the center jump to the edges where the magnet is stronger.

These 3" magnetic trays are PERFECT for my needs. I use them for mini bulldog clips on my drawing tray. They don't take up much space and the powerful magnet keeps my clips in place.
