I took baseline measurements using distilled water and beer wort, both matching the measurements from my refractometer. These seem to be well made and are easy to read.     • Cheap, paper thin, full of tiny loose lead beads that go everywhere!
Made of paper thin glass with loose lead beads inside. Two of them broke from being dropped a few inches into a graduated cylinder. A plastic graduated cylinder. Not even on the counter - a cylinder that I was holding in my hand to be careful that it didn't hit the bottom too hard. If they can't be put into a graduated cylinder without breaking, they're worthless as hydrometers. Not to mention that they spill poisonous lead all over the place that you will have trouble cleaning up out of your kitchen. Save your money and buy something else from a real brand. ... show more
