So, I really thought this was going to be the perfect screen protector for our Kindle Fire HD 10, but unfortunately, it didn’t fit as expected. I’m sure it’s my fault for not double-checking the model (I swear I was in a rush when I ordered it), but if you’re thinking about getting this for a newer version of the Fire HD 10, make sure it’s the exact generation this is designed for! That said, the quality of the screen protector itself is solid. The clarity is top-notch, and I appreciated how easy it was to apply—no bubbles, no hassle. So, while it didn’t work for us, I’m sure it would be great for anyone with the right model.     • Difficult to install cleanly
I know that these screen protectors have overwhelmingly positive reviews, but I went through all three of them and could not get a clean installation despite following the instructions to the letter. I started off with a brand new tablet, so the problem is not due to scratches on the screen. I made sure there were no fingerprints and no dust particles on the screen (it helps to shine a light on the screen from the side-- dust particles, stray hairs, etc. will often stand out better in oblique light). I wiped the screen down again with the included swatch of cloth and checked again for any stray particles. Nothing. I peeled back about an inch of the screen protector, lined up the edges, and began to press it down. Immediately I could see a speck of dust had been trapped under the film. Well, maybe I missed ONE piece of debris... I removed the film, re-cleaned the screen, and tried again with a second protector. Same thing-- a stray particle had gotten onto the previously spotless screen. I had one more chance, and this one didn't go any better. I wiped the screen down a final time with the included cloth, checked AGAIN for any particles, and laid down the first inch of film. Yep, another piece of debris had gotten trapped under the film. I decided that this was as good it was going to get and tried to squeegee the film into place with the included cardboard. I did this as the instructions described, peeling the film back gradually while edging the film into place with the cardboard. Although the glass was clean, the edges of the film would not adhere. I pressed them into place several times but they refused to adhere about a fourth of the way around the perimeter of the screen. Since this was the last screen protector I had, I resigned myself to my fate and tried to peel the upper protective film away from the protector. The entire protector pulled away from the screen. I think their idea of "adhesive" is perhaps a little more lenient than mine. What I suspect is happening is that there is a residual static charge on the plastic film that draws small particles in, no matter how well you clean the glass. Since there are bits of dust, hair, and clothing fiber in the air around us, one of these inevitably gets attracted to the plastic and gets trapped, forming a bubble. I don't know how other manufacturers do it, but I've installed screen protectors on about a dozen other phones and one other tablet, and none of them have been as troublesome as these. The adhesion failure is just icing on the cake. I'm going to try tempered glass protectors for this tablet and give the Supershieldz ones a WIDE berth in the future. ... show more

The screen protectors are very thin and hard to get to stick. The edges keep wanting to come up.
