This is a great set for getting organized or getting your recycling sorted. But, the box arrived in tact while the top one was cracked on the side. That means that the material this is made from is fragile. And that's of concern for durability. I did order a replacement and will see if it also arrives broken because that will tell me if it was just an accidental drop that caused it to break or if this is a weak material that should be skipped. These are a little lighter duty than what you might get from a recycling/disposal facility. These are a bit thin-walled and brittle. Two came broken with one corner shattered and it's clear that sometime during shipping the box they were stacked in was dropped breaking the corners. Likely a heavy glass object dropped inside this bin could lead to a break. However, do cost making them work considering. ... show more

We live in Oregon where we have at least 5 different types of "recycling" going on in our home at any particular time. This 6 pack of bins is a great way to always have a bin when we need one, especially if one type is overflowing. I really like the design of being able to nest the bins when they aren't in use and then to spin them around and have them stack when they are being used to hold things. The bins are plenty sturdy for home use but not quite as tough of the ones that go to the side of the road from the garbage company.
