This works great as a wired headphone adapter, but if you're thinking of using one of these in a car, read on: This item will supply an audio signal to an older car system that does not have a USB audio input, but be aware that if you try to use the audio and charge functions simultaneously, a ground loop will be established which will result in hums, whines, squeals and major audio distortion. I solved this problem in my car by the addition of an isolation transformer module. (A similar module is available on amazon for around $10) Overall this is a good product for the price.

I am old school, so I use earphones when listing to music on my iphone. You need an adapter for this on the newer iphones. I really like this adapter because it has a charging port. It was a two pack. The first adapter broke after two days (I did drop my phone). The second adapter is working out great. I have noticed at times it doesn't recharge my phone. I unplug everything, then replug my device and it starts to charge again.

Officially stopped working yesterday. It lasted less than 4 months, and I didn't even use it every day. It started being funny about a week ago where if the cord was in the wrong position, it would cut out. Now it just doesn't work at all. I've gone through so many of these, I thought I had finally found a decent one. Others I had bought only lasted 5-10 uses. This one outlasted that, but less than 4 months is still pretty bad. Still on the hunt it looks like. I really hate that apple got rid of their Aux option.

Got this because I have and older car that doesn’t have Bluetooth. One of them would cause my radio to squeal like crazy. The other one works perfect, I can charge my phone and listen to my music.

Stops working after a month. I have had 6 or more of these. I keep buying them because I am afraid to buy an e dc expensive one and have the same thing happen.

These work as advertised, but they won't last you very long. I Bought these 6 months ago to use in my son's older car that doesn't have bluetooth. This car is not a daily driver and was used very lightly over the last 6 months. Both adapters had the lightning plug break off in the phone after only about 3 months of use. Time to try a different brand and hope they last a little longer.
