I've had to spend a lot of time recently sleeping on a medium firm mattress at my mom's house. It has been rough on my lower back and hips. I purchased this queen sized egg crate mattress topper a week ago. It came in a small box and was vacuumed sealed. It expanded beautifully. It fits perfectly on the top of the queen mattress and handles great with deep pocket sheets. The first night I slept on it, was the first night in 6 months that I slept the whole night thru and woke up with no pain. A week later it's holding up beautifully, and I'm still sleeping like a champ. An additional bonus is that it stays cool all night, so no waking up sweating. I'd willingly buy another...and probably will.

Not really memory foam it's just some sort of regular foam that flattens out easily. The cover is also polyester so it gets hot. No smell when opening it but didn't like the quality or the fact that nothing matched the description.
