This is a great toy if your child likes to build things and then be able to have fun with them or if you want to teach your child how to build things. It's gratifying for your child to build something and then be able to use it for fun. It definitely fosters confidence and also shows them hard work pays off. It's very educational to build it, see how it works and then be able to play with it after. I love that the tracks cross one another so when you race 2 cars it's fun to see them cross over. I also love the lap counter. Each car on it's track has a lap counter that when that car makes a lap it counts up so you know which lap each car is on. The cars are magnetic so they stick right to the tracks which is great. There are multiple options for builds that have cool twists and turns and even go up and come back down. You can also make the track smaller if you want to come up with your own configuration.

It was fun and pretty cool once set up but the thing just started disintegrating literally within an hour of use. LED lights stopped working on 2 of the cars within one hour of use. Within a few hours of use the brittle wire to the controller broke off at the base of the controller, the ballast and bridge supports are super delicate cheap plastic, the cars were spotty and sometimes wouldn’t go. Other times the cars would be stuck on go without using the controllers. Sometimes the cars were fast and other times slower. Maybe that is just a trait related to these types of tracks in general. My son only got 3-4 hours of use out of it before all these issue came about. Neither of us were rough on it. Just normal use.

I really wanted to like this track set because it looks fun and the idea of having multiple track layouts is great. It was exciting at first, but the problems started pretty quickly. The biggest issue is that the cars stop running after only a couple of laps. Most of the time this happens because the track connections are slightly off or get bumped loose during play, which causes the cars to lose power and stop in the middle of the track. Even small shifts in the track can interrupt the race, so you’re constantly having to adjust pieces and restart. Another problem is that the track pieces don’t stay together very well. After a few runs, sections start separating—especially on curves—and it doesn’t take much movement to knock them out of alignment. This leads to frequent derailments and interruptions, which can be frustrating, especially for kids. Overall, I thought this would be a great set for the money but the set just isn’t there. Between the cars stopping and the track coming apart, it doesn’t hold up well for more than short play sessions. It could be fun with better connections, but as is, it’s more hassle than enjoyment.

This is very fun…. When it works…. The track pieces are hard to get to full go together. 2 out of the 4 cars don’t work, 1 because it’s missing one of the parts on the bottom required. We were missing a few pieces for the elevators requiring us to find odds and ends around the house to make it high enough for cars to clear. Our 3 kids attempt to race each other but with the track pieces not fitting together well, it makes it so that the cars won’t run long at a time.
