Wow, my children absolutely love this racing car toy! The only challenge was assembling the track at first, but after a few attempts, they figured out how to put it together. The track is really fun and exciting. The children are so happy every time they play with the racing cars on the track.

First off, my 5-y.o. grandson loves cars! His parents mentioned that him and one of his friends had a good time playing with Hot Wheels stuff at his friends house so my wife was looking at buying him some Hot Wheels cars. She saw a Hot Wheels track setup and asked me about it and I told her that it was cool. Then I mentioned that when I was a kid I used to have a slot car track. She didn’t know what it was so she searched for it and found this one to show me. After reading about it, it was an easy decision! The track pieces are a little difficult to put together but take your time and wiggle them into place. Being a veteran slot car owner I designed and built my own track instead of following the one pictured in the instructions. We ordered this for our sons birthday. actually this was a replacement for a similar item. It was much more better than the previous one we have ordered however, one of the tracks was missing the aluminum contact points. Which kind of made the cars run off the tracks at high speed. We are thinking of returning it, but our son logged so much we kept we kept it. It’s really a good body gift and is fun for both adult and kids. ... show more

The upside, my grandson had a blast with this track The downside, he has lost interest because the cars will not stay on the track no matter how you fix it. Even going slow, one or more of the cars drive right off the track.

Okay, I take offence saying that this is for boys. I'm far from a boy and I have enjoyed this immensely. In fact, it was me that convinced my husband to buy it. He has really enjoyed it so much so that I'm wondering if it's just gonna end up in my living room all year long and not just at Christmas. The track is so flimsy and the cars electrical contacts are frayed pieces of metallic fabric that cross connect and short out causing constant stops and crashes. Not in a fun way.
