I installed this 10,000 BTU, portable air conditioner as a temporary replacement for my window unit that stopped working, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This unit works great and has exceeded my expectations! It came with everything needed for a hassle-free installation into the window, making the setup process a breeze. One of the standout features is the two fan speeds—one low and one high which my old window unit did not offer. However, the most intriguing feature is the condensate water management. The unit automatically kicks into high fan mode to disperse the water and then returns to the original fan setting while running, which is a pretty smart and efficient design. The other great feature is the ability to drop the temperature to 61 degrees, whereas my old unit would only allow the lowest temperature setting of 68 degrees, so this is a great surprise to me too. I have this unit running in my finished basement, and since installation, it has provided fast cooling and easy operation. It keeps the space comfortable even on the hottest days. I am considering keeping it as the permanent as it is working very well and beyond my expectations I highly recommend the this to anyone in need of a reliable and effective cooling solution.

I have only used this 3-in-1 Portable AC Units Cools 450 Sq.Ft.,10000BTU Portable Air Conditioners Coolerwith Remote Control 24H Timer Sleep Mode,AC Unit for Indoor Use twice since it hasn't gotten too hot just yet in my area. But I think I can write an honest review on my observations. Firstly, we didn't think we would be able to use it because the window kit was not fitting in any of our windows. It was either too large or too small. My husband was able to Macgyver it to make it work. So that is something to consider before you order. I have it set up in my dining room which I use as my office. The unit itself is compact but the hose leading outside the windows is not the prettiest sight. However, this is a powerful little unit. It cools up quickly. Since my dining room is open to other rooms I can't speak to how long it takes to coll the whole room since it's not enclosed. I don't know that it will automatically shut off which is a bummer. But the remote control make it handy to adjust and power off as needed from the comfort of my chair. The only complaint I have is that it's really noisy. I don't know if having this in a bedroom while you sleep is a good idea. It is too noisy for me to have in my office during a Zoom meeting. So again something to consider. Overall, having nothing to compare it to I'm really happy to have this unit this summer since it will definitely save on having to use the central AC Unit. Haven't used the dehumidifier yet but glad it has it since I have a small unit this will teplace.

I needed an A/C unit for my 10'x12' shed and decided to give this one a shot. i cut out a hole for the exhaust, plugged this bad boy in and let it go to town. It took all of about 5 minutes for my shed to go from over 100 degrees down to 80 and another 5 minutes and it was down to 70. The unit is quiet, good looking, and really puts out a ton of cold air. I found that the price is very reasonable for what you are getting. The box had everything needed to get going with this thing and installation was a breeze. I have been using it for a couple of months and it works the same every single time. I recommend this item because it does what it is supposed to do and does so at a low cost.

This unit when installed provides quiet cooling with multiple functions for temperature and fan speed. Comes with all the necessary parts required for proper installation. Easy to drain, but I have not needed to in the month its been in use.

You need to know what you're getting with this A/C unit. While it's portable, it still requires outside ventilation, which means you need to set up a hose and window kit fixed to an open window--the kit expands to cover the window opening and has a slot that the tube fastens to. While the window kit slides to accommodate different window widths it simply does not work for ours. With the sliding piece installed, it is too wide; with it removed it is not wide enough to cover the width of the window in our bedroom. It still works as a dehumidifier without ventilation, but is a waste of money for just this purpose. This unit may work for you, but it doesn't work for my home.

The Antarctic Star 10,000 BTU air conditioner is portable, offers a remote control and has a 450 square foot coverage area. Although portable, don't let that fool you - it is a 2-person lift item to protect your back. It does what it advertises, however. It requires outside ventilation, which makes sense for an action unit. My use case was a recently converted outside porch which had been renovated to a closed room, and I didn't want to connect with existing heating and cooling. This unit works great for my purpose. It supports 3 modes and two wind speeds. All is programmable with the remote control. This includes a timer with sleep mode. Nice!

The adapter is made for horizontal opening windows. It can be reworked to fit other types, but the adjustable slider will end up blocking the exhaust hot air, so... reworked again. After installing in the standard sized windows and making adjustments, the controls are a bit clumsy. Hard to get the settings to change. Once you get all that squared away it is fantastic. The cool air fires across the room and really helps keep a small to medium room cooled nicely. I did have to use HVAC tape to seal the window mount, the exhaust hose on both sides, and the connection to the window mount in order to avoid waste hot steamy air from leaking into the room. Overall, I am pleased. However, the poor design and fit of the hose make it less of a portable design and more of just an air conditioner inside the house instead of window mounted.
