The frame feels sturdy once it is together -- the metal structure does not flex or creak when I rock it, the mesh sides are airy, and the height adjusts through enough positions that I could line the top up close to our mattress for the bedside setup. The rocking function is the part I did not expect to lean on as much as I do, and the wheels make it easy to move between rooms and lock when parked. What kept it at four stars is the assembly: it took longer than the photos suggest, and a couple of the parts needed firm lining up before they seated. On the safety side I will leave that to the manufacturer's instructions and a parent's own supervision -- it is not something a review can responsibly settle -- so I am speaking only to the build, the height adjustment, and how it handles day to day.

My husband and I are both on the taller side so with our second baby, we wanted a bassinet that was a little taller to save our backs from bending down so often. This has been fantastic! We set it up in our living room so that we would have a second space to set baby down in when I was sitting on the couch. It was easy to set up and takes up the same footprint as other bassinet, so it’s not huge, but it’s big enough for baby. It was easy to get it adjusted to the height that we needed and we like that. We’re able to gently rock it when baby is in it and we are sitting next to it. It seems extremely sturdy and like a great bassinet for the price if you’re trying to look outside of the name brands. We’ve been satisfied with this for our baby, and we would recommend it to other parents looking for a new bassinet.

This bassinet is really nice. It’s also really tall/huge. We’ve had a similar style of bassinet but it was smaller in both width and height. Basically if you need a Doona stroller then this bassinet is not for you. It raises up to be even higher than the shortest height, which is still very tall. If you have a tall raised bed, it’s perfect. The color is light gray and the mattress does slope a little to keep baby safe. Be sure to place your baby on the correct side of the mattress. The bottom storage is also very wide (as wide as the top portion). Assembly is ok, no tools required, but the leg pieces are at an angle so you have to kind of bend at an angle to get them in place. I’d say that if you don’t want to use your hand to get the bars in place, use a mallet. It does rock gently (manually) and the rolling feet do lock into place without any issues.
