I wasn’t exactly in the market for another ratchet wrench, but after using the APEXPOWER Ratchet Wrench for a few projects, I’m glad I added it to my kit. The first thing I noticed was how sturdy it feels without being bulky. The handle has a comfortable grip, and the overall balance makes it easy to maneuver even in tighter spots. The ratcheting action is smooth and precise. I’ve used plenty of tools where the mechanism feels stiff or skips teeth, but this one engages cleanly every time. Switching directions is quick and doesn’t feel flimsy, which is something I’ve had issues with on other wrenches. It’s been especially handy when working on my car, where space is limited and having reliable gear movement makes all the difference. Durability seems promising too. I’ve already put it through some stubborn bolts, and it didn’t flex or give me that “am I about to break this?” feeling. The finish looks like it will hold up well against regular use and grease. Same quality as the big brand names but way more affordable. The 3/8” ratchet has performed flawlessly without any issues or concerns. It accepts DeWalt batteries as well as other brands. The quality seems solid and well constructed. Plastic components are similar to most high end tools and should provide long-term durability. The ratcheting mechanism is made of heavy duty tooled steel and easily switched from fwd to reverse. The more I use it, the more I like it. It comes with its own carrying case and a small assortment of extensions and sockets which allows for on the go use- just don’t forget to bring your battery (sold separately) along.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve used this ratchet for a few small jobs on my 2011 Chevy Express, mainly loosening old, rusted bolts under the hood and near the exhaust. A couple of them were really stuck, but it handled everything fine without needing a manual follow-up. For the size, the torque is more than enough for light to moderate work. Trigger feels smooth, and I like that you can control the speed depending on how much you press it. Forward and reverse is easy to switch one-handed. It also has a safety lock button to keep it from accidentally turning on, which is nice when you’re working in tighter spaces or just carrying it around. The handle has a soft rubber grip, and the tool overall feels balanced, not too heavy or bulky. I’ve used it for about 10 minutes at a time without my hand getting tired. The built-in light helps in darker spots, like under the van, though I wouldn’t mind if it were a bit brighter. It works with all my DeWalt 20V batteries, which was the main reason I picked it. No issues there, battery slides in tight and stays in place. For small repair jobs or quick fixes, it’s been really handy. Hope it helps.

The main reason I purchased this is because Milwaukee does not make a ratchet for M18 batteries, and I didn't want to deal with having M12 batteries for just one tool. With that said, this has worked for what I have used if for so far. The reason I took off one star is because it is no where near 88 ft lbs. I didn't check it vs my torque wrench, but I would guess in closer to 30-50 ft lbs. Is still works just fine for what I need, since most everything would need to be hand tightened first or broken loose first anyway. Overall, it is good option to have a ratchet without needing different batteries.
