I bought this to work on a car project. After the second day I was taking off bolts that had less than 20 ft lbs of torque and the motor began heavily smoking and totally stopped working. It was not under stress or abuse. I would not buy this product again.

Positives: - a battery powered ratchet is invaluable when trying to turn sockets in tight areas (specifically think of working on vehicles). This is so convenient and cannot believe that I waited until now to purchase one of these - The housing structure of this product is very strong and sturdy, I would put it up there with the name brand power tools - This works with both my Dewalt 20v batteries and other off-brand replacement batteries that I have purchased Cons: Not much here, but it would be nice if it came with a battery. However, at this price point it is a very good deal.

This is a well made tool which is something you'd expect from Dewalt. I really love that it comes with a case and some sockets but the overall size of this thing is a little off putting. I have a Milwaukee M12 3/8 ratchet and this thing is massive compared to it. I actually prefer the smaller size of the Milwaukee M12 because not only is it much easier to handle, it can reach in tighter spaces that this tool cannot.

This ratchet is awesome! It is not the most strongest thing on the market but it loosened and tightened multiple bolts on my Jeep Wrangler. It's simple to operate and I was able to get into some tight areas. It also worked well with the included extension and a small set of sockets. I was able to use my Dewalt lithium ion batteries to power it and they snap on and off with ease. It comes with a decent carrying case too. Highly recommend this ratchet for the average do-it-yourselfer especially because the price is very fair.
