The battery works fine. Be careful the plug was wired backwards the red was where the black was to go and the black was where the red wire went. With that said since I had to fix that I combined 2 battery packs together because there is more than enough room for two battery packs.     • Do not try to substiture NI-MH for a Ni-CD
I use these for an older machine tool memory backup. The machines charging system is specifically designed for Ni-CD and NI-MH cells will not survive long term. These have larger capacity than the original as well.

These fit our exit signs just fine. They did work but don’t last very long. Code states the signs must run 45 minutes on battery, these last maybe 5 minutes. Let them charge for 24 hrs after installing but no different after charging for a full week. Still failed inspection with these new batteries.

Recently had a few exit signs in our building that failed inspection from the fire marshal due to bad batteries. These were already modern LED signs so we weren’t replacing the whole fixture like we would with incandescent ones. Generally speaking these are pretty much generic and universal so long as you match the voltage and amp-hour rating. Most every exit sign or emergency light uses the same connector which makes the replacement process simple.
