This double-sided backdrop has been a very solid addition to my photography and video setup. I’ve used a lot of pop-up backgrounds over the years, including some much larger ones, and this one holds its own just fine. The gray and blue colors are exactly as shown in the product photos. I’ve used it for headshots, video calls, and a few audition tapes, and it performs well in all those contexts. The fabric is a soft polyester material that’s a little thicker than what I’ve seen on cheaper versions of this type of backdrop. It’s not something you’d want to make clothing from, but for its purpose it does the job well. It feels durable and with basic care it should last a long time. I have similar backdrops that have lasted nearly a decade with light use, so I’m hopeful this one will too. Setting it up is fast. It pops open right out of the bag. Folding it back down can be tricky if you’ve never done it before, but once you know the technique it’s simple. You basically grab the long sides, bend it into a taco shape, and then twist it down into a coil. If that sounds confusing, there are several helpful videos on YouTube that demonstrate it clearly. I do recommend practicing in an open space the first few times because the spring-loaded frame can snap around a bit if you’re not ready for it. Lighting is important with any backdrop and this one is no different. I had the best results when lighting it from both sides or from the front. The material is non-reflective, which helps avoid hot spots or glare. It’s also fairly wrinkle-resistant right out of the bag. I didn’t need to steam or iron mine, but if you want an ultra-smooth look, a handheld steamer on low heat or even a little time hanging it open will help. It comes with a carrying bag, which technically works, but like many similar products the bag is flimsy and probably won’t last long. That’s the one part I didn’t keep. I usually just store these flat behind a piece of furniture anyway, so I wasn’t too concerned. Overall, this is a well-priced, portable backdrop that’s great for small studios, video creators, or anyone needing a clean background for calls or content. I’d recommend it to both beginners and experienced users who want a reliable pop-up screen with a professional look.

The media could not be loaded. I'm disappointed. I mean this'll work okay, but for around $60, I expected more. My first impression was based on the zipper on the case missing a zipper pull. I could open the zipper, but I'll never be able to close it. What gives? Next, I got out the backdrop and—with plenty of space around me—I popped it open. Great. It has four loops spread over three sides. I can use one of those to hang it up on a heavy light stand. Easy. Then, I see that the material isn't quite wrinkle-free (as advertised). I would steam it like I do other backdrops, but since I'm going to store it folded up, there isn't much sense to that. This means I'll have to either have my subject(s) farther away from the backdrop than I'd like, or I'll have more post-production work to edit out the wrinkles. Neither is great. I know I got the bigger version, but unless you have a really long lens and a lotta space to step back and use it, it'll be hard to get enough compression to fit multiple subjects in like I wanted to. 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3 because I'm generous. I'm not happy, but I've got something I *might* be able to use. Oh, and on a good note, I was able to fold it much more easily than expected. I don't have folding superpowers (I'm just decent at it), so I'll attribute this at least partly to the product.

This double sided backdrop is decent quality although I ordered the black and white but received the blue/gray. The blue is more of a chroma key blue rather than one I'd use for portraits. The gray is a nice, neutral tone, good for headshots or 3/4 length. It folds up about the same as any of these larger pop-ups, which means not especially easy but not impossible. Some days I can do it right away, other days I seem to struggle. : ). This is a nice size for portraits when vertical and hung horizontally can work for closer video.

I have several backdrop systems but wanted a quick to setup backdrop for headshots and waist up photos. The collapsible backdrops always interested me so, when I got the opportunity to order this one, I went for it. I got the black/white one. I am very impressed with the quality of this backdrop. The material was mostly wrinkle free (I’ve seen complaints of wrinkles on other brand collapsible backdrops) so I was very happy with that! Despite knowing the dimensions, this is larger than I imagined! That’s a good thing as long as you pay attention to your surroundings when you pop it open. The white side is nice and clean and makes for a great background. Depending on the lighting I use, I can make it bright white or, by increasing the distance between my subject and the background fall off to gray. This makes it versatile. I use it with a reflector holder that attaches to my light stand. The backdrop is set up in under a minute. The only thing that could be improved is the carry bag. It is very lightweight and the zipper seems fragile.
