I picked up the TRbisely 2Pcs Valve Cover Breather Filters (12mm) for a small go-kart project, and overall I’d give them a solid 4 stars. First off, installation was quick and straightforward. The 12mm size fit perfectly onto the crankcase vent line on my go-kart engine without needing any modifications or adapters. They snugged up nicely and stayed in place even after a few runs, which is always a good sign when you’re dealing with vibration from a small engine. In terms of build quality, these are honestly very comparable to the breather filters you’d find at a typical auto parts store. The materials feel decent not ultra heavy duty, but definitely not cheap or flimsy either. The filter element looks well packed, and the outer housing holds up fine under normal use. For a go-kart application, they do exactly what you need them to do: keep dirt and debris out while allowing proper ventilation. The biggest win here is the value. You’re basically getting parts store quality at about half the price, and you get two in the pack. That makes it a no brainer if you’re working on small engines, karts, minibikes, or similar projects and don’t want to overpay for a simple component. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they’re not anything premium just solid, functional filters. If you were using them in a high-performance or show build, you might want something a bit more heavy-duty or name-brand. But for practical use, especially on something like a go-kart, they’re more than good enough. These fit my air breather port fine, but when I was installing it, I noticed it was sitting kinda sideways up top. I went to adjust the top over a little and the entire top popped off. Mind you, I had only been putting downward pressure on the filter at this point, to get the filter on. Why the top popped off is beyond me. It was a trick getting the rubber tubing off my engine and putting my old filter back on. I wouldn't recommend this for usage on cars. The filter housing is some sort of very thin metal, maybe aluminum. Smaller than my old one and kinda cheap feeling. The hose clamp on it is quite small and you'll need a very small Phillips head to tighten it if you do decide to go with these. ... show more
