I’m satisfied

I picked up this 2 pack CB mic holder set because I wanted a simple way to keep my mic in the same spot while driving, and it has been working well for my setup. The retractable part makes it easy to grab the mic and put it back without having to look around for it. The size and design fit in my truck without getting in the way. Mounting it was pretty simple. I placed one on the dash area and the other near the side panel, and both spots worked fine. The adhesive backing held in place, and the hook piece kept the mic clipped in without wobbling. The adjustable mount helped me angle it so the mic hangs where I can reach it comfortably. The retractable cord has a smooth pull. I can grab the mic, talk, and let it go, and it returns to its spot without any issues. The length is enough for me to reach it easily. I tried it with two different mics and both fit the clip without trouble. The housing feels steady for everyday use. I bumped it a couple times getting in and out of the truck and it didn’t crack or loosen. The retractable part has been working consistently during the drives I’ve taken so far. Having two in the pack is useful. I put the second one in another vehicle and it worked the same way. It keeps the mic in a predictable spot and helps keep the cab a bit more organized. After using them for a while, they’ve been a helpful little accessory. They keep the mic easy to reach, reduce clutter, and make things feel more organized while driving.

Like most people, I do not have a ham radio. However, I do have a really messy garage, certain handheld electronics that I am constantly losing, and other things around the house that need organizing. These accessories are helpful for all that. With the quick release clips, I have already attached a couple to two travel phone lanyards, and another two to some thumb drives which I now have hanging conveniently inside my backpack. The D-ring hooks were easily mounted in the storage closet on my patio to hang some gardening accessories. The retractable radio clips are the most heavy duty of all of these, and they will go in my garage to secure certain tools so that they are readily accessible and not easily lost. There are always multiple uses for something if you have a need and can get creative. This accessory mix is a decent value considering their versatility.

As a licensed ham and an electrical engineer, I generally look for tools that improve the ergonomics of my radio setup without adding unnecessary complexity. I obtained this 2-pack to address the common annoyance of a dangling microphone, placing one in my truck and the other by my home station. The functionality is quite balanced; the retraction is strong enough to keep the handset from wandering but light enough that it doesn't feel like a tug-of-war to pull the mic toward you. Setting them up was simple, and the mounting hardware feels sturdy enough to handle the vibrations of the road. It's a nice change from fumbling around for the handset on the seat or the floor. The size is unobtrusive, and having two units allowed me to standardize my setup across both environments. It does exactly what it's supposed to do without any unnecessary fuss.

Feels well-built and durable. The retractable cord has a smooth action, and the hooks are secure once mounted. I actually got this to attach to my ski jacket and cell phone case so I don’t drop my phone on the lift, and it works perfectly. It’s great for using the phone while keeping everything compact and secure. Easy to attach, easy to use, and a handy little accessory.

Work fantastic, I use my box cutter with it and no issues whatsoever. Great unit Edit less than a week of use lanyard has already snapped.

I don't think this is for microphones from mobile cd/ham/GMRS radios. I tried several times on different days to figure out how to attach the plastic badge strap or the thread loop to a microphone from my VHF ham radio. It doesn't work with what's included. I'm not willing to using glue or tape to make it work. I gave it two stars since it is well constructed, and will probably last long time if used as a key or badge device.

My plan is to use these for my shack setup, not in a car. Functionally these work great. The cable is thin but strong and the shell feels strong. There are a lot of mounting options and all of them feel kind of awkward. You have a lanyard on one side and clips of all different kinds on the back. It feels like it tried to be too many things. I may cut off the lanyard (no way to easily get it off the plastic shell) and mount it on my wall. This would work great for a lanyard or an easy grab and pull type item as well!
