I have three house cats so cat hair has become a part of our daily lives. I’ve been looking for a tool like this to help get embedded cat hair out of furniture without having to invest in a higher powered vacuum and this tool really helps! I’ve included photos of before and after using it quickly just to see how much hair it picks up and you can tell a difference! The “teeth” on it are not super sharp or anything which was a concern I had before getting these. I will say you have to be careful around any kind of stitching and seams because it will snag a bit. Just let the tool do its job and don’t use it too hard and you should be fine. If you put a lot of force behind it, the snagging is much worse. But once you get the hang of it, it’s very light weight and effective. We use it on tshirts and jeans as well but I would probably not use it on a sweater or anything with a knitted material. I think for the price, it’s a good investment if you have low to moderate pet hair in your home. ... show more

    • Works best on small surfaces
These fur collectors work best on small surfaces. My dog loves lying on my decorative pillows and I find they work perfectly for gathering the fur off them. Because of the need to collect the fur into a mound, you can never really get all the fur off the fabric. Also, you have to sort of gather it from all sides, so it’s difficult to use on a big surface (like a bed) unless you break the surface down into small areas. It actually works best when each area is about 12-18 inches. They don’t damage fabric at all (even on fabric that has some texture to it). I also like that the surface doesn’t need to be entirely flat (which is why they’re perfect for the pillows). They come two to a pack, so I leave on in the bedroom and one in the living room. ... show more

We have two cats and two dogs indoors so pet hair is a constant fight. The cat trees are the worst, as their little hairs get woven into the carpeting and even the vacuum can't get them out. The ridges on this are not as sharp as another that I keep in my truck, but to my surprise, it works just as well. Within a minute or so I had almost completely cleaned a platform on their favorite cat tree. Having two means I can keep one on each cat tree to make it easy for periodic maintenance.     • Removes dog hair with ease
This is the best tool for removing dog hair from any material. I used it both on my couches and my car today. I actually cleaned both in an hours' time. This is so easy and effortless. It works quickly to remove the hair into piles the can easily be vacuumed.

As the product description warns, you do need to test these out in an inconspicuous spot before going all in. We found that they worked very well at rapidly removing dog hair from the couch, but also seem to put a little wear and tear on the upholstery. It's a bit hard to tell if they are actually removing fabric or just pulling up already loose bits, though; for now, we're giving it the benefit of the doubt because these brushes are SUPER efficient at removing the dog hair (way better than our vacuum cleaner). ... show more
