  • Bought as a replacement
Style: ChargePro 10/10
bought this unit to replace an older unit that failed. i also chose this unit as i had upgraded to a 24 volt system to run a new trolling motor. works great! keeps my batteries topped off and ready all time.

  • Works like it should
Style: ChargePro 10/10
No complaints. Had to redo my mounting, but overall it functions great. Just takes up a lot of real-estate.

  • Has mounting holes for permanent install, but has a wall plug and says not to cut the 12V wires…
Style: ChargePro 10/10
I bought this to replace a 10 year old smaller version of this same charger. It appears to be more modern and better sealed. The only downside is this version no longer has screw posts on the charger like the old one - it just has wires coming out of the housing, with a 120V house plug for the A/C connection (why would anyone not direct wire it?), and the 12V wires have large ring terminals with a tag that says not to cut the wires (for some reason unknown to me). So if you are doing a permanent installation, you’ll either have to cut the wires anyway and hope that doesn’t mess up the timing of the computer charging algorithm or something, or fish the wires all through your boat every time if you ever have to remove or reinstall it. Or buy separate terminal blocks and modify the giant ring terminals to fit on them, and just have like 6 feet of extra 12V wires hanging around. Either way you’ll have to cut off the 120V house plug to connect it permanently to any shore power connection on the boat (or install a 120V outlet in a locker somewhere and hope it doesn’t ever get wet or come unplugged) Bring back the screw posts and let me do my own wiring. The wall plug and ring terminal cables could have been detachable, but I doubt anyone will use them anyway - who is mounting a charger this big on a boat small enough that you’re hooking it up with an extension cord (no shore power cord) and where the battery wires aren’t routed through bulkheads etc.? ... show more

  • A GOOD DEAL
Style: ChargePro 10/10
THE CHARGER WORK GREAT. Charges my two golf cart batteries (6V in series) and one 12V starting battery as advertised. Excellent value. Did however have to get creative to find a nice flat spot big enough to mount it, but got it done. My only complaint is the dumb question about longevity, check back with me in a few years not a few days, come on! ... show more

  • One charging
Style: ChargePro 10/10
Only one battery side will charge. I have two new batteries. If I swap leads it will read the other battery. Just the battery 1 leads not working. Inline fuse isn't blown. I don't know why it want pick up on that one lead.

Style: ChargePro 10/10
As expected Guest battery chargers are simply a dependable product that also extends/-really extends battery life. Had one in my sailboat that kept 2 marine batteries going for over seven years!

  • Long term use
Style: ChargePro 10/10
Worked fine for a couple months, then just gets stuck in auto-maintain and no longer charges at all even if your battery is almost completely dead until you unplug it and replug it in. Makes it useless if you use it all the time. I am mailing Marinco seeing if they will fix the issue.
