I bought this based on the comments and research. I'm in Jamaica, we just had Hurricane Melissa, so no electricity and no water. I closed my eyes, said a prayer and bought this inverter generator on faith. I HAVE NO REGRETS!!!! I followed all instructions and each time I use it, it starts on one pull. I was able to connect it to my breaker, I was able to power all 8 of my emergency light bulbs, 2 door fridge, washing machine, 55 inch TV, PS5, 2 Fans all CPAP Machine all at the sametime. I had no surges, nor decrease in power, especially when the washing machine was on. What I was impressed with most of all, was the 1 gallon tank I would use an entire 6 litre bottle of 90 octane gas and that would give me little over 11 hours, with everything connected and operating, including doing 2 large loads of laundry. This Amerisun Inverter generator is the real deal, its really quiet and gets quieter with the eco mode switched on. Its very light, compact, lasts unexpectedly long for a 1 gallon tank capacity. Very powerful for its size, very mobile, I made a great investment with this inverter generator, because Jamaica is Hurricane prone and we have power outages every now and then, so its a win win situation. I recommend this to everyone, whether your a camper, tradesman, having a disaster, you will never regret it. Better than I expected. Ships without oil so you must add before starting. So add oil. Remove two screws and pull cover from side. 10w30. full synthetic, Even includes a funnel shaped to make adding oil easy. Awesome. Added fuel. Has a fuel gauge on top. Even more Awesome. Followed the tag instructions. Turn on vent on gas cap. Starting on the side. First time starting it took quite a few pulls with choke on. After the initial start, it is super easy. It is considered loud compared to more expensive models, and yet, I believe it is very quiet. More quiet than I had planned. Has USB outlets. Eco mode which lets it idle when nothing is pulling power. I ran an old air compressor with it and then plugged in an electric heater. Both ran with no issues. The nicest thing is how easy it is to tote around. My old compressor was on wheels and a nightmare just to move around. Including video of my wife starting. Hopefully you can hear how quiet it is and see how easy it is to start. She had no issues. My only regret is I got it on sale and now I wish I had bought two. I will update if I run into any problems and how it performs in an emergency over a long period. Really happy with this purchase. ... show more

    • Runs well, but has a weak CO sensor

This guy is a decent little genny for the price, but I'd caution anyone buying it not to run it on a windy day. The CO sensor is sensitive and mine went out on me within 3 weeks. Kept shutting off from it catching a sniff of the exhaust. The customer service number they offer has nobody there to answer your call!!!! Been calling for says so can get a replacement sensor. Supposedly there is a 2 yr warranty on parts. You'll need it. But when it runs... it runs pretty well ... show more

Quiet! I purchased it to run our RV while we boondocked a couple days on the beach. It worked great! Ran our mini-split with no issues to provide some heat at night and AC during the day. We would shut off the HVAC to run the toaster, microwave and coffee pot so we didn’t overload it. The size and weight along with how quiet it is was worth the work arounds. It ran 12 hours on one tank when the temperatures didn’t require a lot of heat or cooling. Ran 8 hours on the night that the mini-split ran a lot. I can carry it with one hand so I use it to run power tools and lights instead of dragging out an extension cord at home. Our previous generator had more power but was a beast to move around. Performance seemed to really improved and smooth out after running under a load by the 5th tank of gas. Most new engines these days say there is “no break in” time but I felt like this one really ran best after a few tanks of gas. ... show more

This inverter generator seems to be a quality product. Fit and finish are great. Took 5 or 6 pulls to start the first time. After that it has started the first pull. Display / control panel is functional and laid out nicely. I have only had it a few days and started it about 3 times. It is much quieter than the older model generators. Having to remove the side cover to check the oil is an inconvenience but not a deal breaker. You have to remove 2 screws and pull the cover off. Getting the cover back on and lined up to tighten the screws has been somewhat frustrating. There is also a panel for access to the spark plug. It is light to carry but could seem heavy for someone with bad back or up in years. Over all I'm happy with it. One thing I want to call out is: it stated on Amazon that it was made in America but it says on the box that's it's made in China. Not cool. ... show more

Refrain from purchasing this generator sold and shipped by Amazon. The reason for Amazon’s price reduction on this generator is its subpar quality, and they are attempting to dispose of it. I received a used and defective generator that is non-functional. Amazon has refused to accept a return or refund my money. The Amazon account department has denied my refund request and threatened to deactivate my account if I continue to request a refund. This generator has a two-year warranty, but Amazon claims there is no warranty. Since it was sold and shipped by Amazon, I am unable to seek recourse from anyone else. Used it at a park for my son’s bday party. Took it camping on Memorial Day. Used for our air fryer, rice cooker, heater, mini fridge, and lights. Worked great (note we did not run the heater or air fryer at the same time). Have 25hrs on it and just changed the oil. Starts easy. Fairly quiet. Great value.
