Just got this "fencing" and am really happy with the few pieces I've checked after putting a couple in the ground. I'm curious, tho not enough, why someone would get the shorter version, 13" tall. Also don't believe it would deter many critters bc they are good at squeezing thru small places. I'm buying this to keep my dog from digging under and out. I've placed a couple panels in,1 a bit deeper, with the ground up to the bottom of the 2 sections, and might pound in a little more. I stomped the disturbed soil after putting the sections in and my dog seems unhappy. What's above the ground is not a big deal but he's tried to dig next to it, under, and he's not happy. I think I have the new "fence" about 8-10" underground where there are gaps under my gate. I believe that when finished, my puppy will just have to play with his toys and give up on digging to the center of the earth. I see this fencing has many uses but the 17" only makes sense if you're trying to keep your dog IN. I have a medium+ (57lbs) sized dog but know my last little one could have easily dug under 6/7" which I'm guessing would be the depth of the shorter (13") fence. I'm sure there are dogs that will dig deeper just like the 1s that are aggressive chewers and are given a toy advertised as "can't destroy" and they do. (Lots of reviews like that) I believe that this will keep my dog in bc he is not a maniacal digger, nor chewer. This is the easiest solution I've found to keep my dog in the yard. Will update with any changes.

Material would be similar to pet cage/kennel. Once in ground, it’s sturdy. Good height to cover necessary areas. Price wise it’s reasonable and worth it. Did not receive any bent or rusted materials. The cutter though, was useless/not needed. It doesn’t cut through the fence, it is sharp enough for the zip ties.

Unfortunately our tortoise decided to start pooping on our porch. We loved having her come to the door to say hi to us, but the poop was too much! This fence is perfect for keeping her off the porch. Sorry Shellby!!!! Just need to buy more as it didn't go the whole way, but we like it so far.
