Overall, this concept is great. The spines go beneath the earth, and the top rests against the fence. Sometimes there are spots that is less effective though. The concrete by the posts. Fence over gravel. Etc. Still, this is as good a solution as any. Be prepared with some wire cutters to clip as needed. And… I found that these would get pushed away from the fence a bit easier than I would prefer if the creature was coming from the off side. So, I wound up stapling the top to the fence pickets. Worked great!

Over the last few months, I have had critters burrowing under the shed and that did not bother me as long it was chipmunks. When 5 adult size raccoons started hiding out under the shed is when I knew I needed to block off that hole that they just kept widening. I was afraid that my dog who is about the size of one of the raccoons would be attacked at night when the raccoons were foraging around the bird feeders in that area. Each morning, I would fill in the dirt they had dug out and the next day, it was opened up again. I looked for a solution and decided to try these fence barrier panels. They are 17 inches tall with 9-inch spikes that are driven into the ground and 8-inch fence looking tops to block off access from above the ground. I was able to drive these into the ground easily with a rubber mallet. I just installed these and I will be going out in a few minutes to attach them to each other with my own stainless steel zip ties. They do come with 50 plastic zip ties and a wire cutter to cut off the excess, but I will use my own. I like that these barrier panels are a hardened metal with a rust-proof coating. I will find out soon if the raccoons can dig the hole out again with these in place.

We have a small dog who's obsessed with "protecting" us from our neighbors dog, who is usually just calmly chilling in the yard next door. The neighbor dog unfortunately likes to dig and so has created a few sections of our fence where our dog can practically fit his whole body through. I got these to replace our hodgepodge of various pieces of brick and scrap wood to keep our dog from obsessively peeking under the fence when he's in the back yard. These were easy to install and came with zip ties in case your dog is more aggressive than ours at trying to burst through them. I didn't install them and it seems to be dissuasion enough. The only difficulty I ran into is that if your fence is set into concrete, you may not be able to place the barrier close to the fence post without cutting off one or two of the tines that go into the ground. I had to do this to a few pieces, but it wasn't too difficult with a hacksaw.

Our yard has recently been inundated with squirrels. They seem to be digging under the fence line for easier access to the gardens and bird feeders. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind, but we also have small dogs that have been investigating the holes under the fence and am worried they might slip under one day. Until a more permanent solution is found, these barriers have been doing their job and kept my dogs in the yard. They do come with a pair of cotton gloves, wire cutters, and zip ties to help link them all together. They sink into the ground with relative ease, though making sure not to hit rocks or concrete can make positioning them tricky. I was able to place them with just the pair of gloves and pushing them into the ground. The tines were strong enough to resist bending and seem to do a good job letting the dogs view outside while keeping them in. The squirrels still get into the yard by either climbing over the fence or digging more holes.

I ordered these as a minimalistic flower garden border to protect my flowers from being the local rabbits' dinner. They are by no means ornate, but they are well-made and nice-looking. I prefer their minimalistic design to ornate ones. To keep them from being bent, I used a piece of 2x4 across the top and pounded them in with a rubber mallet. After sinking one into the local hard clay soil, I soaked the ground to keep my frustration level down. Installing them after a rain storm would be an alternative to soaking the ground with a hose. They are nothing fancy, But they are exactly what I was looking for. The paint and the welds appear tough and should last quite a long time. I will order more as a dog digging deterrent when I have fenced in the yard for my dogs. They come with rugged black zip strips to tie them together and even include a pair of cutters to trim them with and gloves to keep your hands clean, which is a nice touch. If you are in the market for a nice-looking, well-made, well-packaged product to keep rabbits out and dogs from escaping a fenced-in yard, these are the ticket. They are reasonably priced, and I highly recommend them. I have nothing negative to say about them. My shovel broke right when I started to turn over the soil and add peat moss and topsoil to my garden. I will fill in the picture section as soon as I have a new shovel and have my garden planted.

I have reviewed other versions of this product, and this version is equally impressive. This particular set of fences stands out among the rest because it has only a 1.25 inch gap between each of the vertical bars. If I had to buy more of these, I would choose this brand and style first. The best aspect of these fencing sections is the way they install deep into the ground with minimal effort. This aspect is what stops burrowing creatures from digging underneath as they might in the case of other fencing that lacks a similar design. Installing them around a shed, garage, or any other structure provides impenetrable protection while still maintaining a look that is pleasing to the eye. NO more burrowing, furry invaders! VERY strongly recommended!
