I'm using these for storage of parts in my lab, transferring from cabinets, and I like their uniformity and crisp White surface for writing titles. However, they take a little more attention than I would like. If you just flip the sides over, they tend not to latch into the slots in the bottom unless you carefully guide it and push the fold so that it is as deep as possible. Even then, the material is a little bit on the soft side, so it won't take a lot of abuse. I have not tried using them for shipping, but would make sure they are packed well to provide internal structure. Probably fine. The trick, if you use them, is to put everything on a flat surface, hold the little side flaps even with the bottom, push the top out of the way for a moment, and then take those side panels and guide them around the flaps so they are as deep as possible. That helps the little tabs seat into the holes, and although the cardboard is a little soft and I wouldn't exactly call it snapping, it will settle in. Strengthening everything with tape is not a bad idea. I'm still using them and will continue to, so they're okay, just wish they were a bit thicker and dimensioned in a way that they could be assembled more quickly.
