I used these Athens Gray peel and stick tiles for a small bathroom update and was pleasantly surprised. The matte marble look is modern and clean, and doesn’t look overly shiny or cheap. Installation was very easy—just peel, stick, and trim with a utility knife. They stick well, feel solid, and handle moisture without any issues so far. I also like that they’re easy to wipe clean, which is perfect for bathrooms and kitchens. The first thing that you notice is the wight of the box containing the dozen 12x12 inch tiles. They seem heavier than expected based on their thickness. Each tile comes off as hard and thick even though they can bend and are thin. I know this is just contradictory, but I see it as a testament to the quality. On the back of each tile are arrows all pointing in one direction. Clearly, this indicates that they should be facing a certain direction. The direction is random depending on the direction of the first tile with all subsequent tiles facing this same direction. However, the tiles do not form any larger pattern as each tile is best described as having a random pattern like in natural stone tiles. Also, if the arrows are facing left to right, for example, tiles placed above or below are randomized in the up and down axis even if their arrows are facing left to right. I tried to find out why there are arrows but could not. I played around with the arrow direction and found that each tile is random enough so that some part of adjoining tiles may have some coincidental continuation of a pattern, but there is no real overall continuation between tiles. The attached pictures give an idea of how the tiles look on a bathroom floor. I started following the arrow direction but quickly stopped paying attention. There are no edge grove so the tiles do not fit into one another. They are just placed side by side. Notice that you will see boarder lines between tiles. Real tiles would have grout between them while these just have a thin boarder. The seller states that they “features a slip-resistant texture” and “authentic 3D stone texture.” Please note that these tiles are not textured in the slightest. They are not intrinsically slippery but do not count on them to prevent slipping. The surface is flat and smooth so expect them to behave as any other flat and smooth surfaced material. The authentic 3D stone texture may be alluding to the print that attempts to reproduce real stone. It certainly does not have a physical 3D or textured property. Consider that because there is no grout and that the tiles do not interlock, there may be a chance that water will penetrate over time. This could be especially true in a bathroom and if the floor is not completely flat. Even though they appear strong and robust, they are ultimately plastic and can yield to imperfection in the floor that may cause tile boundary separation. To me the overall look appears good considering that they are fake ceramic. If you are good with this aspect you should be good with the overall appearance. Based on an understanding of what they are, I feel justified in rating with five stars. This rating overlooks the claim of a slip-resistant texture” and “3D stone texture.” If you frequent Amazon, you likely are used to exaggerated seller claims so I am just ignoring that aspect. Just be aware of it when deciding.

I actually used these on my kitchen floor, in the two small areas where my rugs don't cover the original UGLY flooring. This looks SO MUCH better, it's kind of incredible how much a difference a little bit of exposed floor can make when you upgrade!! They have stayed in place perfectly so far, and I have had them on the floor for over 6 months. I will return when I start to encounter any quality issues at any point. For now, I would highly recommend these for an instant UPGRADE to any room of your home!

I had to look very closely at the tiles to find a pair that had the same pattern on them; it wasn't obvious because no two tiles are printed (or cut) with the same pattern alignments as another. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The print is not as clear as other vinyl floor tiles I've had; it appears to be a bit blurry, but that might have something to do with the texture. We have a cove window that I will be making into a built-in desk. I don't have room to put a countertop over the sill because the window has a minimal frame, but I can glue the tiles to a sheet of hardboard to form a desktop that will sit on top of the sill. 👍

I don't like these tiles for a few reasons. 1) they are extremely thin. I wanted to use them to cover the bathroom floor but I can feel the existing tiles beneath them. 2) the print looks okay from far away but up close they look cheap. 3) the adhesive does not last. I stuck one on the floor to test it out and after a week, the tile started sliding around. To really secure it, I'd have to use addition adhesive, at which point, I might as well ACTUALLY re-tile the bathroom.
