I think I kind of love / hate this. Starting with quality, I think it’s good - it’s just under lego quality. You most definitely get a plethora of pieces, which is also good. But when we get to the projects, they seem to be somewhat repetitive, with different projects being only slight variations of the other. And then there are the directions. Barring any 3 year old that belongs to the MENSA society, there is absolutely zero chance of this being for a 3 year old. This would be difficult for an intelligent 8 year old without parental guidance, let alone a toddler (the box states “3+” as being age appropriate). The directions are overly complicated and wordy, and not translated as well as they should be. They (meaning the manufacturer) include a qr code for video directions, but that really should not be necessary, plus, if you are like me, who wants a foreign company to be able to glean your info? It would be much more appropriate, and convenient, to give good, clear, concise, properly translated directions. This kit itself would be 4.5 stars, the directions a 2, rounding this out to about a 3.5 rating. I am giving it a 4, however, because if your child has any experience with this type of toy and is creative, it equips them with the needed tools to come up with some great projects on their own.

We gave this to our oldest grandson for Christmas and he just loves it. The coolest thing about it is he can build so many different types of robots from this one set. Every time we visit or they drop by since he got the set he always shows me or tells me about the newest robot he put together. Really gives him a great sense of accomplishment and pride. That's important at 8 years old. That's a crucial age right when a kid is learning to have confidence in himself. You want to establish that confidence as much as possible because it will serve him well for the years to come. This is a great set to help a kid gain confidence and know that he can do something correctly and do it well with satisfying results. Each one of these robotic projects teaches a kid how to put things together and how they work, teaching several basic functions. It's great that no batteries are required to operate the robots. And no tools are required either. You need to connect the finished robot to the app on your phone through Bluetooth to program the robot. Many parts are small size but kids don't mind that. The box says the age range 3+ but that's very wrong. This set is for ages 8 and up. I say "and up" because even many adults would get a kick out of building the projects. With 24 different projects to build that's just over two bucks a project, certainly a great value for the money.

I am really impressed with this science kit. I got it as a gift for my nephew and he has already spent hours building different robots and circuits since we opened it up. It is very cool because it is a 24 in 1 set so there are many different things he can make without getting bored. I like how it looks once the different projects are finished and he was so excited to see the final finished stuff. The instructions are pretty easy to follow and it is a great way for him to learn about electronics while he is playing. Everything seems to be good quality and it is not just cheap plastic that will break right away. I was looking for a gift that was educational but still fun and this definitely fits the bill. it is a solid choice for a birthday or holiday gift for any kid who is into science and building stuff

This STEM kit has a good concept and offers a variety of projects, but the overall experience was disappointing. While the idea of having 24 different experiments sounds exciting, the instructions are not very clear and can be confusing for kids without a lot of adult help. Some of the parts feel flimsy, and a few components didn’t work as expected, which led to frustration instead of learning. It might still be useful as an introduction to basic circuits if an adult is closely guiding the child, but on its own it’s not very user-friendly. For the price, I expected better quality materials and clearer instructions. Overall, it has potential but needs improvement to really be enjoyable and educational.

For the price, you can't beat this. Many STEM related robotic toys can cost several times more than the asking price of this product. The kit is kind of like a Lego Technic set with more functionality. There's instructions included to build certain contraptions, and it can sync up with any smart device to program. When it comes to the app programming, it reminds me what the school has been teaching kids in this day and age where I have seen my daughter drag function blocks and commands in a visual user interface on a website for school. The app for this product is no different, except it does have far mor functionality. Being able to program the robot with drag and drop functions helps develop coding logic at an early age. This makes learning fun. Kids do not realize they're learning when they think it is just a building set. All the pieces connect nicely and smoothly. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought it was one of those expensive brands. Kids can use this at practically any age where they're past eating small objects. For starters, kids can just use the basic building aspect of it to create something from nothing. The motors and such can be activated without programming, so it can be fun to just make something that moves. Once kids advance further, the logic and programming can come in to make their creation do more things! I recommend this to any parent who's child has an interest in math, science, and robotics. It is fascinating to watch a kid become an engineer when they think they're playing.
