We frequently take car trips that keep us in the car for up to 9 hours a day. We prefer to take sandwiches, soda/water, and snacks from home, so a versatile small cooler is essential. This cooler fits the bill for us perfectly. The soft sides mean we can stow it behind the front seat on the floor, on the back seat, or in the cargo area depending on our needs. This particular cooler, has a lot of PROs and not a lot of CONs. PROs: 1. As I mentioned, it has soft sides which makes it more versatile seeing as we can stow it in multiple places without worrying about it breaking. It also makes storing it when not in use easier as it can be squished/folded into a smaller footprint. 2. The smaller top compartment is brilliant. We can keep flatter or more fragile items in this compartment. Things like sandwiches, cheese sticks, bananas, etc. fit beautifully in this compartment. This compartment is also insulated, so whatever we put in there also stays fresh and at the desired temperature for pretty much the length of the trip. It also has a zippered mesh pocket in the lid of the compartment. 3. The main compartment is well insulated and water proof. If we need to add ice or a cooling block we can, but cold cans of soda or water bottles keep things cold in this main compartment due to the superior insulation. The lining is completely water proof, so no leaking either! 4. It has a removeable bottle opener. I know we have taken a few bottles of pop with us in the past, but not able to open them because we forgot a bottle opener. Problem solved! 5. The mesh side pockets are great for all those misc bits and bobs (e.g., napkins, collapsible dog bowl, dog snacks, etc. It's a very nice addition for extra storage. 6. The front zip pocket is the perfect spot for paper plates, napkins, eating utensils, condiment packets, etc. 7. It even has an adustable shoulder strap so it's easier to carry when your hands are full. If you have an extra hand though, it does have a padded handle. CONs: 1. Although the side mesh pockets have a bit of elastic at the top, it is very minimal. I wish they had more elastic, so things are more secure in these pockets. 2. In the right-up for this cooler, they state that it can hold 24 cans, but those are the mini cans, not full-size cans. I'm not sure that is a full CON, but I wanted to at least mention it. Overall, this is a really good cooler with a LOT of great features and really no full fledge CONs, so I definitely recommend it. ... show more

I'll say - you can get a lot in this as a lunchbox. This is a bit big for a daily work lunchbox but perfect for a family of 4-5 people taking a day trip. I think this would hold an entire 12 pack of cans if you want to use it just for that. It is sturdy and has good insulation and the inner liner appears to be completely waterproof. I was waiting for nice sunny weather to go outdoors and then use and review this item. I was certainly not disappointed ! This is a great product to have in your family. I have now used it for multiple occasions - camping, fishing, beach and it has held up very nicely. Be it food or beverages or even just regular food storage, it does the job brilliantly. This lunch bag is made for men, but I wouldn't be so quick to discount how its appeal is not gender (or age)-specific. It is very clear why the size, divided compartments, and insulation would please a man. They make it possible to carry multiple courses, beverages, and a few snacks. However, it would do just as well for women meal-planning multiple snacks and light fare throughout the day in addition to their main lunch entree. Can also see it being useful for kids with a second round of food for after school activities. It is also helpful for loading up before running a day's worth of errands to avoid the need to grab fast food or unhealthy snacks. This lunchbox is much roomier than I envisioned (even though I read the dimensions). Wow--it can hold a lot! I was able to fit a good size Bento Tray with lid, flat, in the bottom. So I don't expect I'll run out of space! I like that it has a shallow zipper compartment at the top. It's a great place to keep things dry and out of sight. The front and side pockets do not disappoint. There is plenty of room in the front zip section for anything you need to keep dry. Both the lid and front sections can be used for phones, chargers, notepads, books, etc. I like to have light office supply items with me for those inspired (or deadline) moments when I need to eat and work at the same time. The handle options offer versatility. You can grab and go in a hurry by hand carry, long strap over the shoulder, or cross-body carry. The strap attachment swivels, so less wrestling with tangles or twists. As one would expect, the inside is insulated. While I don't need much ice in the winter, I will really enjoy the space available for ice in the summer (I hate packing food and having no room left to keep it chilled!). This lunchbox is awesome! It has an insulated, thin, zippered top section which could be used for napkins, utensils, and condiments. The main area is insulated and quite large. It would easily hold a 6 pack of soda with space left over. There’s a small front insulated pocket that zips closed which is big enough for mints, gum, candy or snacks. It also has a mesh pocket on either side and an attached bottle opener. You can carry this with the should strap which is adjustable and has a comfortable shoulder pad or by hand which is also padded. This is the perfect lunch bag for anyone!
