This kit has the stuff. It comes with everything you will need. Even the pencil for making the outline. Thing kit has everything you will need. Except for the screwdriver and the paint to make your way look as if you never had a hole. Of course I used a drill and a finishing nailer. Because I have them. I am happy with this kit. It was worth the money simply because it has everything will need. If you have tools like I do. It becomes even easier. You really can't go wrong with buying a sheet rock patch kit. This is not a cover a hole kit, This Is a kit that turns your hole back I to a usable wall. Just as if it was never repaired.

I ordered this drywall repair kit so I could fix a large hole in my wall. I underestimated The size of the hole so I had to use a different Larger piece of drywall, but I did use everything else from this kit aside from that. The pieces of wood included were very helpful and made things go fairly smooth once they were screwed in. The scraper worked nicely to move the compound both before and after applying the mesh tape. The biggest con for me was the lack of compound included... I did also opt to use Different sturdier screws as well.

Ok, this is one of the most disappointing products I've ever purchased from Amazon. No joke. All I really wanted was the 12" drywall patch, the rest was sort of "why not... probably saves me a trip to HD." Thank god I have tools and know-how to overcome this kit's limitations. Firstly, the badly photocopied instruction page was absolutely useless. The knife provided to cut out the drywall is the wrong tool for the job. The drywall tape was the worst I've ever seen. The plaster was of poor quality (but at least it dried fast). The pencil provided (silly) was unsharpened (what?). The drywall piece provided is of very low quality (poor density... won't hold screws, crumbles at the least pressure. The last annoyance is somewhat my fault; This kit includes 1/2" thick drywall. Nicer residential construction in the US uses 5/8" thick! So, I had to figure out a way to shim this panel to be flush with my wall. This IS noted clearly in the product description but an uninformed buyer may not notice that his is meaningful... just assuming that drywall is drywall. Nope. My advice is to look for a kit with a drywall saw, not a knife or go to a retailer and get advice from an expert. This is not good for the novice.
