This aerator got the job done. It gives you a total workout, it requires a lot of strength to operate. You cannot push it backwards like the video suggests, the spikes don't go into the ground. You have to push it forward for the spikes to go into the ground 2" deep. Also placed on top of aerator a heavy block to add weight. Putting it together was easy, but be careful with the very sharp spikes. I'm lucky I have a strong husband with strong arms who got my aeration done.

This thing really sucks. The ground has to be really wet to make a dent and uneven terrain totally defeats it, completely. Not to mention that waterbag and one bungie cord make it unwieldly. Best option is soaking the ground as you go but still you'll have to make many many passes to do anything useful. Disappointing at best.

The aerator is on the flimsy side, have to be cautious on going around corners. Can't push it if you put a weight on it, have to pull. Which is not ideal. There is a horrible squeeze. Tried oiling everything we could, this is the reason I can't return. If we didn't oil it, it would of been sent back in a heart beat.

The tines are able to wiggle / tilt (off center) and when they do, it becomes more difficult to push...the tines become more difficult to turn. There is too much "play" with the tines. I have oiled and greased, but not much improvement.

Good stuff, it helps you lose weight too. The thorns are dangerously sharpened, they look very much like a weapon, so you must handle and store carefully.
