I had been eying one of these for a long time now, since the original EM-Smart One model hit the street. I'll admit I was apprehensive purchasing from an unknown Chinese seller and that was the only thing that prevented me from pulling the trigger and making the purchase. Once EM-Smart started selling on Amazon, I felt more comfortable, knowing that Amazon would protect me (and my credit card). Now all I can say is, I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. The laser is exactly as described by all the YouTube reviewers and works extremely well! From the moment my order was placed, I got emails via the Amazon messaging system with shipping updates and introducing me to "Greta" my customer service rep. She has been there every step of the way and has responded to all of my emails within 24 hours. Setup was a simple 10 minute affair, taking it from the box, installing two thumb screws in the base, sticking the threaded work surface down and plugging it into power and my PC. It comes with EZ-CAD2 out of the box and its fine software, works well and will do the job for most people. For those that need a little more fine grain control, the laser is fully compatible with Lightburn (You have to buy it separately) and after a little tweaking works great! Everything was well packaged, one minor item (work holding tool) had a damaged screw, I contacted EM-Smart and they simply shipped me a replacement free of charge. I had to contact support about an issue with un-even marking (which turned out to be my fault) and their support people were fast, polite and helpful! even offered to hop on a video call with me to work out the problem in real-time. Personally, I'm glad I got the 25W laser vs the 18W or 20W, the extra power speeds up deep engraving and makes gives you more options. Overall, I am extremely impressed and happy with my laser and all of the accessories I purchased with it. The customer service and support have really been great and I would absolutely buy from EM-Smart again. I hope this review helps some of you out there with your buying decisions. I can't wait to experience my next EM-Smart product!

The simplicity of setting this fiber laser up is amazing. No instructions really needed. Getting the software installed was easier by following youtube videos. Learning the EZcad software is the most challenging part unless you are already familiar with LightBurn. In the 2 days I've been using it, I've done the slide of a pistol, several metal business cards, and a bunch of test items. Metal is the strong point so far. Just make sure everything is squared up and level. I really wish there were tutorials that were readily available. If you goto the Em Smart website, there are a few starter parameters there you can download and add your own to (they're in an Excel spreadsheet). As a surprise bonus, the company reached out to me and sent a travel case for the laser, easily worth $400 or more. I even ordered an enclosure directly from them, and that is also of oustanding value. Zero instructions for assembling that, but if you can use a fiber laser, you can figure out how to assemble a box. This laser is worth every penny and more. I have a diode and another fiber laser from another company, but this is the one I hope to use the most.
