I received the aerogarden as a gift with the pods that already had the seeds in them and loved how easy it was to set up and automate. I did not like that I was limited to the seed varieties offered. I held off way too long on buying this kit because I did not think it would be quite as fool proof. Had I known how easy it would be to assemble and seed my own pods I would have bought this kit the day I got the aerogarden! The kit did not include instructions but you really don't need any! Just drop the grow medium into the net pot, sprinkle in a few seeds of your choice, put the sticker over the top, place the pod into your aerogarden and put the plastic dome lid on top. I used a pen to label each sticker. 4 days later I had little leaves on my basil, chamomile, romaine lettuce and cherry tomatos! This kit is an excellent value, as the net pots can be reused over and over. The kit even includes extra growing medium to put into the net pots. So far these seem to be just as effective as the prefilled (expensive) name brand pods. I will come back and update this in a few weeks

This is the third time I have ordered replacement plugs for the arrow garden and the first time it was real peat! The first one I ordered was from China and obviously molded plastic. The second one I ordered claimed to be peat but was also obviously pressed plastic. This one is the real deal!! I don’t need the plastic plugs or growing domes that seems like extra plastic, but very excited to have non-plastic plugs for my herbs

I was excited to use my hydroponic indoor grow garden again for it has been sitting in my garage waiting for pods and seeds. I always had a 100% grow rate with the original pods that came with the garden. I expected nothing but that when I ordered this kit but was very disappointed to see mold growing on my seeds instead of sprouts. 3 of the 6 failed to sprout. The pods seem to be sponge like rather than natural compressed peat moss.. they absorbed just fine but I think the density makes it hard to filter the water thru. That's my guess. Otherwise it wouldn't get moldy. The plant food is easy to mix and plenty for the entire season. I wanted to love this product but I can't successfully grow without germination. The little tops don't fit snug on the pods either, even when folding the labels under, not a big deal for me as long as they grow.

The baskets and sponges fit my Aerogarden well, but the stickers are too big and the grow domes don't fit well over the top of the baskets. Previously, I had gotten another generic hydroponics kit for the Aerogarden, but it is no longer available. I have ordered other stickers which I hope will work with these baskets and sponges. Revised to thank Fungiworks for emailing me pictures showing that the stickers should be tucked in around the basket and then the grow dome will fit over the top. I "fixed" my stickers and now everything is much better. I am increasing my rating from 3 to 4, but my personal preference is the sticker that exactly fits the basket which also gives a better fit for the grow dome.

I usually reserve my hydroponic gardens for seasons suitable for sowing seeds and germinating plants. While I can grow plants outdoors, I prefer to cultivate them indoors. I've had an Aerogarden hydroponic system for almost a year now - in fact, the original grow pods ran out long ago. The system has just been installed and I'm glad these sponge baskets are still in my garden - they're just a little bit higher than the rim of the basket, but the lids still cover everything, so it works well. I really like their nutrient solution, which has detailed mixing and dosage instructions on the bottle, as well as a list of the minerals it contains. The instructions are also very descriptive and the new stickers are great! Reassured that the seeds are protected. Looking forward to harvesting salad fruits and more vegetables this autumn!
