  • My new preferred supplier of MREs!
Number of Items: 2
Ordered March 5, 2026. Amazon tracking estimated delivery March 14. Shipping was through an agency I had never heard of (Ontrac), so I was concerned. Delivered March 8 and was I pleasantly surprised! Inspection date is 06/26, so I got exactly what was advertised and expected ("inspection date of 2026 or better"). These meals are great. Though I've read stories of people opening moldy bread in their MREs, I've never opened anything in them that wasn't fresh. I take them to work for lunch on occasion because they're more nutritious and less expensive than Marie Callendar's microwave dinners. The variety is perfect, and you get pork, beef, and chicken, side items, coffee, beverage, condiments, and dessert. 1,250 calories in each, so 2-3 per day would provide all of your nutrition, though I've read somewhere that you need to add fiber if these are your only subsistence. I've been surprised by a couple of the dessert and side items because it seems they were meant to share (maybe to improve morale and friendship amongst you and your compatriots?). I'm talking about things like a good sized package of the larger Life Savers mints or a knockoff of Corn Nuts. Common items include crackers and cheese spread or peanut butter, or bread with PB&J enabling you to make a sandwich. Italian meals tend to include garlic bread. Some of these reviews complain about squished Skittles. All I have to say about that is, have you seen the size of the box and how many MREs fit in it?? It's all about using little space and weight savings. As for the heaters not working, there are some good YouTube videos with advice. I keep a small 30ml bottle with mine so I measure the same amount of water every time. I knead the water into the heater and sometimes keep it lying horizontal with the open end of the bag just slightly angled, so the water won't escape (contrary to the directions on the bag). If you Engineer things correctly, you'll figure out how to heat the entrée and any side item that would also be better warm (such as rice or beans or cobbler) at the same time. The small amount of toilet paper that comes in each MRE is a little concerning, though.. better hope you don't have bowel movements that often, and know how to fold and use the stuff efficiently! ... show more

  • Authentic MREs - Great product and price!
Number of Items: 2
Phenomenal Price! Didn't check the inspect dates (I took the word of other reviews here), but I can say that I haven't had any issues with these. All the FRHs worked no problem and everything is sealed up and fresh. All the MREs appear to be from the 2024 menu release, so fairly current. I will admit that my use case for these is a bit different (broke college student needing super cheap food that you don't need to cook lol), so you might want to look at other reviews to evaluate if these are right for prepping/survivalist/camping purposes. I suppose I can say that for camping these would work great, and would probably be the cheapest option possible for ready-made food. At $3.50 a MRE how can you go wrong!!! A+ product and I will be buying again. ... show more

  • Great deal for 24 MREs!
Number of Items: 2
$3.34/MRE when you buy 24 - great deal! Each package has your typical MRE materials: main entree, side, snack, dessert, coffee, and extras (napkins, gum, sugar, 0 cal sweetener, salt, moist towelette, creamer, plastic spoon, etc.). I opened the pizza slice and it looks/tastes how you expect. There was a crushed red pepper flakes packet, too. The chocolate energy bar was delicious, the jalapeno cashews were excellent, the cracker and peanut butter was fine, apple sauce was great. The instant coffee is never great in MREs, but it's drinkable and tastes like coffee. I bought these for a road/camping trip across the country. Everything is sealed up really well and neatly packed into two boxes. What's missing? Water and cups. You need water for the heater and coffee. It even comes with a long plastic spoon, so you can eat out of the pouch like a Navy Seal. Anyway, you're not going to find complete meals like this at the supermarket for $3.34/meal. Try it for emergency, camping, or long road trips. *Edit (10/4/25): I tried the first box of 12. The snacks are always really good: barbecue roasted corn nuts, jalapeno cashews, Combos, beef sticks, etc. Probably my favorite item in the MRE. Twizzlers minis, Skittles, and other various candies are also sometimes included. The company tries to evenly distribute the good stuff: if there's no coffee, you'll get a matchbook, if the main dish isn't great, you'll get a good snack or dessert. Short breads are not uncommon, like a sweetened cornbread. I had a peanut butter and jelly that was fantastic. Also, the energy bars are very good (cranberry, apple, etc.). The breads will be flatbreads and tortillas are soft, thin, and flattened. The meals really aren't that unhealthy, but they contain sodium and sugar. The sport/energy drink mixes are in their own sealable pouches (thank you) and they contain sugar. It's not diet food, it's meant to keep you going. I saw this go on sale for $75 and I think that's a great deal! ... show more

  • Excellent MREs
Number of Items: 2
Excellent camping option for food. These are great and remind me of the 90s MREs in the field (minus the Tabasco bottle they used to have)

  • Excellent quality with only a small quibble…
Number of Items: 2
A great value for the money. These are a wee bit old, but they taste just fine and are of good quality. The only quibble is the Skittles candy seems to have been crushed or melted. This was true in every meal that had Skittles. It is indeed a small thing, and the crushed candy is perfectly edible, but I note it for the sake of transparency. If you’re expecting an epicurian delight, you’re in the wrong place. If you want a good, solid, shelf-stable meal option that can take a beating, this is the good stuff! ... show more

  • They are in date and taste great!

They are great. We buy them for my husband to eat at work. In the long run it saves us money, and he enjoys them; a whole lot.

  • Great Experience
Number of Items: 2
They arrived last week. When I got home I brought them inside off the porch and it was like a stroll through memory lane from my ARMY days. Only difference was they weren’t being distributed randomly by my platoon sergeant with the usual “I’ll trade you this for that” or the dreaded chicken Ala King meal. Long story short very pleased. ... show more
