  • Great item!
Size: 1.43 Pound (Pack of 1) Style: Can
I bought this for a pantry item for emergency use. Well, I opened it today. My fresh onions had gone bad and given I live in the country I always try to make do with whatever is on hand. So I was making bangers and mash with onion gravy. Came out great using it instead of fresh onions! I haven’t tried the other stuff I got. Peppers, tomatoes, mixed veggies, cheese sauce but I will definitely now. I want to use it to make up jars of soup mix! ... show more

  • Great value
Size: 1.43 Pound (Pack of 1) Style: Can
Great value for the money. These worked beautifully for our mock big macs. The size of can is great will last a long time. Arrived on time in tact with no dents. It's so much easier to order this size then to have to buy several of the small bottles.

  • More than enough if you were single person
Size: 1.43 Pound (Pack of 1) Style: Can
This was a good purchase I enjoy using onion when I cook to add flavor and texture . This was cheaper by far then going to the market and buying the little jars . I opened the can and I divided it equally into four pint jars that were full . The leftover I made pickled onion . We like it on sandwiches and on hot dogs . We saved the cans as well and use them when we go camping is hobo stoves . They're all so good for storage of garden garden seeds your gloves the ties and the twine that you use . I'm sure there are lots of other uses . Yes I would definitely buy this again . ... show more

  • looks good to me TWENTY FIVE YEAR shelf life
Size: 1.43 Pound (Pack of 1) Style: Can
If you sort reviews by most recent, one of the reviews says that their can is way over expiration. They included a pic, and I can see that they misinterpreted the info. Theirs says that the LOT (batch) date is Nov 2021 (09Nov21), but if you look over a little, the EXPIRATION date is still TWENTY FIVE years out! 2046! (09Nov46). Many emergency food companies use #10 (as in, number 10, not 10 pound). So various weights of food will be packed in these standard containers whether it fills up or not. That means it is possible to have a full can of one style of food, and half a can of another style. Ultimately you are buying weight, not volume. You are not being gipped. You are only being gipped if the weight comes in lower than stated on package. Companies can give more, but they are not supposed to allow less (FYI, next time you go to the store you may be able to get more bang for buck by weighing a 2lb bag of carrots. It could be pushing 3 lbs depending on what you grab for. It just cant be less than 2 lbs, stuff like that.. ) Anway, I bought this as emergency food. I only buy emergency food when on sale, and am slowly amassing a stock. I normally stick to normal canned stuff, bagged stuff, and rotate through my short term and long term pantry. But when I see an emergency food item, I will pick it up if the price it right. When it comes to these onions, I figured I would grab a can since it was on sale, and happened to be less than cost of my usual bagged dehydrated onions. I have no intention to open it any time soon. Can looks good, weight seems spot on. No issues or concerns at this time. ... show more
