You can't go wrong with this brand. I love that I know that no matter what I buy from them that it will be a quality product and packaged for longevity. Having a well prepared pantry is important to me and this is my go-to brand at a reasonable price. I love that I can buy this in bulk and leave it knowing that it is packaged to last. Open the can and snack away or add these to your favorite recipes. These are super yummy. You get a lot of product for the price. Don't let the weight of the can fool you. I like that this is not a chemical nightmare. I try to have item on hand for in the event of an emergency. I look for items that are packaged well, travel well, don't require a lot of additional ingredients, are flexible for how they are used, and will act as comfort food. This fits the bill. Delicious, wouldn’t know shelf life because they did not last very long in my house lol, you can tell it’s real fruit freeze dried, will be purchasing again. Have gotten a lot of different freeze dried fruits from this company and I am all the way here for it.

Love these! They are delicious and crunchy snacks right out of the can, and that's usually how I eat them. You should take note that they will get chewy pretty quickly if you don't keep them in an airtight container. BUT that is not the end of the world -- there are still plenty of uses for them. We have a special needs adult son who has chewing issues, and is not a big fan of fruit in general. I take these apple slices, reconstitute them for about 15 minutes in hot water, chop them up and pile them on pancakes; cover it all with maple syrup, and he's in 7th heaven. It really is tasty! When I'm feeling more ambitious, I use them reconstituted in apple pies and tarts, even apple bread and muffins, which he approves of as well, and much easier than dealing with all the peeling and chopping of fresh apples. ... show more

Sad these dont live up to the hype of the strawberries. I eat the same brand of strawberries instead of candy, order them religiously. Tried a small bag of freeze dried apple slices from Walmart -- LOVED them, so decided to buy from the same brand I get my strawberry slices from. Idk if its just this batch but they aren't crisp, rather chewy. Taste is there but I will be buying my apple crisps from the store from now on. Very sad - I LOVE this brand, I really do. But the apples aren't it 😭😭 ... show more

The chips are very tasty. They easily compare to a bag of BARE Apple Chips. I did not rehydrate to eat them so I cannot speak to that. 5 stars for me, however, many of the apple chips were broken into smaller pieces. That did not matter to me but it may matter to someone else. The chips were fresh and crisps upon opening. One negative factor, a few days later, the chips were not as crisp. The can says they will be good for one year after opening, but I suspect the longer they sit, the less crisp, like chips, they get. I had no issues with shipping or a damaged container. As with most of the Augason Farms item's, the apples settled in the can giving the appearance of less than full. I expected this and it was not unreasonable. I am purchased another can (if that helps) ... show more
