The media could not be loaded. 1. Sweet spot – (4/5). Very good sweet-spot. Paddle claims to be a power one, which shows in clean solid pops with minimum effort. This comes with a flip side, if you are not good at control, balls can fly out. 2. Surface/Spin – (4/5). The surface has grit and offers nice spin. However, I felt it was not as sharp as some of the raw carbon surfaces I have played with. 3. Grip – (3/5). Grip is soft and smooth, but on a bit small side at 4.125 for me. I have medium hands and it felt not so firm in my hand and grip felt just a bit small. Good thing is it could be just what someone may be looking for. 4. Weight – (5/5). This is a super lightweight paddle, just under 8 ounces. It will not stress your wrist. 5. Looks – It looks professional, sharp and stylish. 6. Packaging – (2/5). It came in a plastic bag, for a 100 plus paddle, it could be better packaged. 7. Cover included or not – (1/5). No! Why in a 100 plus paddle there is no cover. Charge me 5 extra and include a nice cover to keep my paddle safe and also look good. Overall, a very nice paddle for beginner to intermediate levels, lightweight and powerful.

My first paddle was the Latitude 2.0 and while acceptable, it isn't very forgiving on mishits. Any ball hitting away from the center of it would drop it's power very quickly. The EVO 2.0 is far more forgiving on off center hits. I went for the Control XL for the longer handle and added control the thicker core gives me. I have plenty of natural power from golf/baseball/gymnastics that I can power the ball well past the court if I'm not careful. My drop shots on my very first game with this paddle were nearly perfect. Great bang for buck!

I had my eye on this paddle and a couple of others for a while when this one went on sale, so I jumped at the opportunity. It really is a great paddle, the grip size works for me as does the weight and balance of the paddle overall. The paddle surface does lend itself to being able to provide some good spin, but actual control of the ball is still up to the player in my opinion. Again a great paddle for the money.

I love this paddle it has in one day improved my playing dramatically it fits in my hand like it is an extension of me. Everyone I played with today noticed the difference in my level. (I am about a 2.6-2.8 player- my estimate). So why am i giving this paddle an overall suck rating. the specs claim that the circumference of the handle is 4 1/4 inches, when in fact it is actually 4.0 (the image claims a bit more, but that is because I took the picture alone and the tape is off a bit, it really is 4 inches flat). I have updated this review to match my headline. Everything above is true, but after I posted this review Selkirk found a solution, they will send me a replacement grip. Also I have used this paddle as is for two days now, and I LOVE IT. Still I would recommend this paddle to anyone who cares if the handle circumference is under the reported spec. When I contacted Selkirk the answer I got was and I quote "Thanks for reaching out. The standard grip for an SLK should be 4.25", there must have been a manufacturing error when applying the grip to your paddle. If the handle grip is too thin for your liking, I recommend you process a return through Amazon where you purchased the paddle." They were not interested in the batch, they did not offer to directly exchange it with one that fits the spec, so if you really need a 4 14 inch handle, this paddle is not for you. Also my overall impression is that SELKIRK does not seem to care about the quality of their manufacturing process, so please set your expectations accordingly. Still I am very happy with my new paddle. Hope this helps
