TLDR: The M1 Pro MacBook Pro is still a great laptop to buy today, despite it's age, and has great value for the price. If you have a creative workload, you may want to consider the specs you need (RAM, SSD, CPU). Seller shipped renewed/refurbished, but was as close to new as it could get and delivery was quick. Despite releasing in 2021, the M1 Pro MacBook Pro is able to pull it's own weight. The M1 chips were a huge leap in performance and efficiency in CPU architecture and most people would have little to no issues using this laptop as it runs fast and smooth. The build quality is very solid, with great speakers, keyboard, and screen. The 16 inch model is nice as it has a larger screen, battery, and two extra CPU and GPU cores compared to the 14 inch model. For creative workloads (Music Production, 3D Modeling, etc.) RAM is very important, so getting a 32GB model can make a notable difference for some people. A 32GB model and 512GB SSD config would be better if you need the RAM but don't want to raise the cost too much. RAM and SSD cannot be upgraded in these models, but you'd at least be able to get external storage. RAM on the other hand you cannot get, so if you need it, prioritize it. The other thing to note would be how much longer Apple will continue to supply software updates considering the age of this system, but they've supported previous devices for many years. Even as a refurbished product, the quality was as close to new as it could get (little to no noticeable wear and over 90% battery health left) and the delivery time was very quick. If you can find this laptop around $700-850, the value is hard to argue with. It can still pull it's own weight and compete with many systems at and above this price point. There are newer and better processors out now, but those often come with higher prices, especially with how RAM and Storage markets have been.

Product arrived within days of purchase and came in great shape! Does have some scuffs and a slight dent in the top but honestly nothing I'd be worried about as the computer works flawlessly and has 87% battery health. Was a great purchase loved how quickly it arrived. Provided charger works as well no problem. Keyboard functions properly, display has no issues or dead pixels. Definitely worth the money.

1. Device was supposed to be an “Excellent condition renewed” but the laptop was not fully functional and the listing is misleading. The first thing I noted was that automatic brightness and True Tone options were not working or even showing up on display settings; the display colors looked too cold and uncomfortable to look at. Ran Apple Diagnostics Tool and got Error ALS001 “There may be an issue with Ambient Light Sensor” and terminal reported “ALS not found”. Did a deep research and found out the display on this MacBook Pro was likely replaced with a cheap OEM display that might not even have the Ambient Light Sensor (OEM parts that includes the sensor are more expensive) and, on top of everything, it was probably replaced by a third party shop and not APPLE itself. 2. The battery had almost 230 cycles at 88% capacity. Considering other buyers got batteries at 99% - 100% this one was very worn out. This is something I was willing to accept, as for the renewed lottery some battery wear is expected, but this a completely different scenario to get a laptop with crippled cheap replaced OEM parts. 3. The charger is not Apple Mag Safe as stated in the listing , they sent a cheap USB-C generic 118 w charger that will risk damaging your device. 4. The MacBook Pro otherwise was in good condition, without major or severe scratches or dents. *Had to clean it, came very dirty. I decided to return the laptop because it’s unacceptable to spend +$1000 on a supposedly “excellent condition” renewed Apple device that must be fully functional and end up getting a device with a replaced OEM display, that lacks the most important sensor on which other functions like True Tone, automatic keyboard brightness and automatic display brightness rely on. This is cheating on the customer.

For a 4 year old MacBook, it is in great shape! The battery is at 92% capacity, the chassis has one or two minor dings but nothing I can’t cover with a skin and case. The keyboard had normal wear and tear from typing, but I can easily cover it with a keyboard cover. Great seller too. The product shipped quickly and was packaged very well. Thank you! This will hold me for another 4-6 years.

This MacBook Pro 2021 (with M1Pro processor, 16" screen with 1TB of storage) is an incredible deal. This machine sold for roughly $2600 when new, but I got it from the Renewed program for $850 in November, 2025. It arrived in perfect condition. Truly like new. No wear or marks anywhere, and with battery still at 91% with 99 cycles. Given Mac batteries are good for 500 to 1000 cycles, that's good for four more years. The screen is as wonderful as all MacBook Pros (way better than my 2024 M4 MacBook Air). It even came with the original Apple charger and a like new cable (also Apple, not third party). I have nothing but superlatives to say about this purchase. Delighted, which is a rare thing in the world of buying used equipment. The keyboard, which I expected to be the same as my 2020 M1 MacBook Air and 2024 MacBook Air 15", seems silkier, quieter and better than either of them. No wear visible. Clearly the Pros are a step up from the Airs in all ways. It's not quite as snappy as my M4 Air, but is better than my M1 Air. Perfectly usable. But when it comes to Photoshop, it is superior to my M4 Air given it has more CPU performance cores and graphics cores due to the M1Pro chip. It's heavy, but this will be used as my Photoshop machine for home use. Screen quality has this extra quality to it compared to both Airs, and brightness is close to my 2024 M4 Air 15", but the colors and sense of depth and vividness greatly exceed the M4 Air. It's truly an amazing screen. Don't know how it was used in its prior life, but its amazing to me that a four year old machine can still outperform a late model one when it comes to graphics (although its hardly as good as a 2025 MacBook Pro, but the new Pro 16" sells in the mid-2000 dollar range). Other than some increased brightness, the current Pro screen is the same as my 2021. Mini-Led with variable refresh rates up to 120hz.

This is my first review after buying on Amazon for many years. I received this laptop on the 24th August and it looks like new, no dents, no kinks or no sign of any wear and I had case waiting on it's arrival. It had two (2) battery cycles and seems pretty ok so far. On my first charge a couple days later it took (approximately) 2.5hrs to full charge and at the end the charging light that was green kept on flashing which I found strange but didn't pay it much mind. Now with my first test out with my controller last Saturday (2nd) and after playing for a while, my battery was at 27% and I decided to plug in my charger (which doesn't have the Apple logo on it), no charge light came on, laptop wasn't being charge. I did all kind of checks on the charger no power to date and laptop had no signs of being charge. I wrote to the supplier and Amazon on the 2nd, received a response (3rd) trying to verify if it was the laptop or the charger and the next one this morning (4th) saying it will be forward to the responsible department, so I am on a waiting list. In the mean time I ordered a "Apple" charger and cable as I used the third party charger provided with the product and it failed so I'm not taking any more chances and unfortunately I travelled from the US to Jamaica to use my laptop. Hopefully it charges ok when the charger arrives......... Update: Just getting around to do this update, the charger arrived on the 3rd while I was waiting on the supplier and my laptop charged ok and is now on 4 battery cycles with the laptop working perfectly fine. The supplier service department contacted me back on the 4th and I told them what I did and they asked me to provide proof of my purchase which I did. They immediately sent me back a note issuing a full refund for my purchased charger and by the 5th the credit was in my account. Brilliant supplier and service department and I would definitely recommend this supplier and I will buy again...They just gained another Star....
