  • Amazing for the price
For the price. Totally amazing. Leads are short. Just right for bench welding. I replaced all the leads for longer reach. It welds great on 110, but at full power it will blow a 20 amp breaker. Off my generator 220 30 amps this thing is a beast welding 3/8 plate. Great home owners model

  • Bang for the buck
For the money, you can't beat this little welder. It functions as it should and will serve anyone well for small jobs and lighter duty welding. Components are decent, the only thing I would like to see are better leads and connections. Upgrade the stinger and ground clamp and you'll be satisfied.

  • Nice welding machine with good capabilities
My welding machine arrived damaged, but it seems to be fully functional after I purchased a replacement stick holder. This is my very first time ever welding and I have had no formal training. The machine made it easy for me to make a first go at it. I did a practice run using the stick welding function as well as the mig function; all on just 110-120v 20amp outlet. The circuit breaker triggered only once, when I had the power setting on max at 200. Once I turned it down to 195 or less, I had no problem with the circuit breaker triggering off. I found the welder works well at 195 for stick, and 185 for flux/gasless mig. I purchased a box of 6013 and a box of 7018, but only tested with 6013 so far. The welding stick during my stick welding did get stuck a handful of times in the beginning, but it was easy to unstick just by moving the stick back and forth or side to side. I learned that the arc starts best when I slide the stick instead of tapping. The included roll of mig flux wire was nice, as I did not have to figure out what wire to purchase. I learned that I need to take off the mig cable to help thread the wire into the cable head, else it would get stuck and make a mess inside. I also learned that I need to take off the nozzle and manually work a piece of wire through the tip before using it else the wire would get stuck on it and the feeding mechanism inside the box would just bunch it up. Apparently, the included nozzles are not made to tolerance, but by pushing wire through it, it clears some copper at the tip that would otherwise cause the wire to not feed through. As stated, today was my very first time ever using a welding machine, and I think I did OK with the help of this easy to use machine. I did some research and bought nozzle gel as well as anti-spatter spray. I don't know how much it helps because I have nothing to compare against, but from what I understand, it makes the welding process a much better experience and I guess I have to agree because I did not have the problems of spatter clogging the nozzle nor spatter getting stuck on everything around me. The construction crew that built a stairwell for me left some waste pieces of structural steel, and I used four of those pieces for my first welding practice today. I managed to weld two pieces together using stick, then using mig. I felt the stick was much better for filling in the large gaps between the two pieces of metal that I was welding together. Once filled, moving the mig wire back and forth was great for creating a nice flow shaped weld, but by then, I learned I could slowly run stick weld to accomplish something similar. Eventually, I will try using the machine on a 220v circuit. All in all, this is a nice welding machine that is easy to use. Reliability and longevity is yet to be proven. ... show more

  • Unbelievable!!!
Just got it today no set up instructions I been wire welding since 1972 the cable on the front bottom left was my only issue. I did not know where it went so I went online to youtube it. After that I could get it welding. I just plug it in using the 115 volt standard house plug in. I was shocked at the first setting I blew thru 1//8'' metal so I put 2 haft inch dia. round bolts together and adjusted the setting lower made a perfect weld with the flux core wire. I cant even imagine what this machine will do plugged in to 230 volt !!! I just hope it holds up to future use. For the money you cant beat it. I'm going to buy another one and put it in storage. ... show more

  • What an S7 can do!! What would a machine shop charge?
The media could not be loaded. This machine I amazing!!! I’m not. Professional welder or mechanic but rebuilding my own Audi engine broke a few bolts to be honest but this one was one I’ve experienced before in which I had a machine shop remove it. This time I used my s7 and it was FLAWLESS!!! The video isn’t the hope it was actually removed from its the center of the 3 in the furthest of the video. The video shows how deep the bolt broke off inside the head and how the machine was so precise. Best welding machine purchase I’ve made and I’ve made a few. I’ve only used it to remove stripped (I.e the t-30 in the intake manifold bolt) head bolts never to weld in a hole. This machine is a time and life saver!!! ... show more

  • Perfection in quality and portability!
This is an excellent 200A multiprocess welding machine. Perfect size for making it portable. Welds everything I've put in front of it (1/2" SS Plate, so far). Doesn't struggle when trying to start cold. The Flux Core gun is one of the best I've ever seen. They certainly didn't go cheap on the quality. I would buy again and I'd definitely recommend this machine to family and friends! ... show more

  • It works
There's basically no user manual at all. There's one knob that that there's not a single word about, a picture of, or a description of what it does. That, and the mig wire feed isn't anywhere near the output of wire that's screen-printed on the chassis. And it's not because of slippage through the system, or wire gauge. The machine works pretty good, but you have to just tweek it to what you need. You can't trust any of the screen-printing or the LED on the dashboard. Who do I contact? Who knows!? ... show more
