Really good smooth welds good quality one bad thing is the motherboard is exposed great for like small little jobs. I won’t have to worry about cleaning it for the wires on the motherboard if you’re doing practicing, but if you’re doing like jobs for 50 hours or so or more, you would have to clean the wiring to not get it damaged by the motherboard or the wire is connected, but really good weld so far really good quality worlds. You will have to get a gas tank specifically meant which will work for argon and CO2 gas you will only need the gas if you’re doing FCAWG if you’re doing FCAWS you will not need the gas. ... show more

Works well. Great value for 4-in-1. As others mentioned, the instructions included were very limited but the support from seller was very good. I had a few questions and they got right back to me. Easy to set up and use. My only issue aside from the lack of instructions was that the door does not latch. This is a design error. I was able to bend part of the housing so it made contact with the latch to stay shut. Overall, it’s a decent light duty welder for occasional DIY use. This is my first welder. I used it to reattach some of the expanded metal on my utility trailer. I used stick first and then gasless MIG which I had never done before. With the help of some YouTube videos, it was easy to do and the welds are strong using the included flux core wire. I used 110V. ... show more

I'm not a welder. The Gas Mig made it easy to do some body work. I've never done that before either. You might get better performance from a $700 welder, but I couldn't tell because I've never owned one. For $99 you'll find out if you can weld or not. This welder works.

    • Great little MIG welder!
I'm a home fixit guy, not a welder. I can stick two pieces together with a stinger--it won't be pretty but it won't come apart either. I love the MIG over stick welding because you're close to the work and can manage the arc better. This device has worked great on both 110 and 220vac using flux-cored wire--haven't needed to get gas and the paraphernalia that goes with it. Compact and comes with everything you need except competent instructions. That having been said, a little practice goes a long way in figuring things out and I've been able to accomplish multiple repairs with much prettier result than with a stinger. Get the Harbor Freight welding cart to go with it and you're set! ... show more

    • Doesn't stand up to its capability
It says 200 amp but struggles to burn 035 wire. The speed control doesn't have much range. On stick it does the same struggles tp burn 1/8 inch rod. But it does burn 3/32 reasonably on200 never used the tig setting so I can't comment. I don't know if I just got a lemon welder or the all have this issue. It seelike a decent built machine but lacks the ability they claim. I tried to get hold of the seller but was unable to find them. Goid luck with yours ... show more
