    • Good addition to a Lavalier/sound kit
This is a good budget alternative for Rycote stickies or Ursa stickies. These don't have any foam, just a double-sided sticky plastic surface. Good for when you want to reuse a Rycote/Ursa sticky but have fresh adhesive. They will probably work by themselves directly on a mic/fabric in plenty of situations too. I figure having a bunch of these in my sound kit couldn't hurt. Big enough you can custom cut them to be the side and shape you need. The adhesive is pretty good on them too. ... show more

    • Interviews for days!
This set of lav hiding stickers gives you enough to last for days ... or weeks ... or more likely, YEARS! I shoot a lot of interviews, but I still don't see myself going through 200 pieces very quickly. I do try to hide my mic all the time, but that's often achievable without a sticker. For example, last week I interviewed three men and one woman. For two of the men I was able to clip the mic to the inside layer of their polo shirt neck closure, and then close one button to cover it. The third guy had his shoulder in a sling, so I was able to easily slip the mic into that. The woman was the only one who needed a sticky solution ... so 25% of my interviews for the day. Anyway, I do often need a tool like this, and these do the job. However, they're very sticky, and I'm not entirely convinced they won't leave residue on fabric ... or possibly stretch or pull on more delicate fabrics when I remove the tape after the interview. So for now I'll be using them only on more durable fabrics until I can safely do a test. They're small and fit easily into my kit, and having 200 of them makes them less precious than the more expensive ones I buy from a different company. However, these also are custom built to fit the mic hiding set from the other company, and they don't have the hole in the middle. But they do the job much of the time. ... show more
