I [RECOMMEND] this wire fencing. Great way to set off a small area of your yard or reinforce existing fencing. Pros: ~Sturdy metal ~Lots of set-up options ~Easy to set-up Cons: ~More decorative than functional. If you still want some more information about this product, please read on! ______________________________________________________________ This is a nice set of fencing. Stands 17in high, but will be shorter depending on how far you stake them into the ground. Easy to clip together and can be clipped in several different ways. The ground is still a bit frozen around here, so I won't get to test staking them, but if the dirt is a little hard for a manual staking, a mallet or hammer will most certainly do the trick. I ordered these to set off an area of boxwoods along my front walk. Because of their smaller size and the fact that they are clipped together every six inches or so, I don't imagine they would be very successful as a true fencing - for example, trying to keep animals in or out. But as a decorative set or for an added design factor to an area, I think these are great.

It does what it's supposed to do--you jam it into the ground and it works as a barrier at the base of a fence to prevent a dog digging its way out and to prevent some critters, such as rabbits, from getting into your garden. I can't determine if rabbits have been deterred, as I'm not observing it 24/7 and it only covers a small patch of our fence, but our dog's a digger so hopefully along with the larger barriers we'd put in place earlier, this will keep the small section in one area safe from her escaping. I don't think it would make the best edging for a garden--it's pretty basic looking and blends in so well with greenery that I think people would trip over it. But if it's not along a walkway, you could use it for that if you wished.

I ordered these for my box turtle outdoor daytime enclosure. They’re good little diggers, so I got these to keep them from digging out of their enclosure. Box turtles are also quite small so I worry about predators digging in. I put these on the inside of their cage and didn’t press them completely into the ground because they can also climb. I think they’d be able to climb onto the top portion. I did install it right up against the wood to avoid gaps that would make it easier for them to climb up. I do have a secure top but I don’t want them to fall. I also installed these around the outside of their enclosure and I did push those all the way into the ground to try to prevent them from digging under or predators digging in. We have had so much rain this winter that the ground is very soft right now so this was the best time for me to install these. I simply pushed them into the ground with my hands. Gloves would’ve made it better because the top is rough on the hands as the ends stick up a bit. I did have one break in a small area. I was using one hand in the middle to push on the panel that broke. It’s still useable though as only one area snapped. I installed all the other panels with 2 hands, one in either side & had no problems. These aren’t super thin like the typical short garden fence, they’re thicker than those. These help my little turtles to be more secure. I’m glad I ordered them.

I was out this weekend to give my fence a test run. Although it is not planting time I find myself anxious to start preparing. The Fence is very sturdy and does not bend very easily, meaning it is real stiff metal and I needed a hammer to tap them into the hard soil. I am sure they will do the job, but I would liked to see them about 6-10" higher, because once theya re place in the ground they are rather short and I'd worry about larger critters coming over the fence. I'll give them a try and see what happens. Attaching the fences togeter with the supplied connectors was a real challenge. I had to press them on with my hands and fingers which didn't go so well. I was able to get several on but left the rest until later as my hands were beginning to ache. They are supposed to press and stretch on but they were so stiff I have trouble. I wll try spraying a bit of lubricant on them and see how that works. It's a good product but I think overpriced for the size I got.

I ordered these because I wasn't sure if I was separating my dog from my neighbor's section outside or attempting an edible garden. I think I might not have a choice being as the ground is too hard in certain spots to get the fence into the ground without damaging it. Because there's clay under ground and may be too hard still to work with, I have to wait a little longer to retry putting these into the ground, but they are really nice and fairly durable. As for the price, I'm not sure what this type of fencing typically goes for since I don't habitually work in the yard using any kind of fencing, but it seems a bit pricey to me considering each piece would average out to about $3, so for me, that's steep which is most likely why I never tried adding any kind of fencing when I planted flowers in the past, lol. Still, they are nice looking and hopefully will withstand the weather this summer. If there are any negative aspects once the ground softens a bit more to put them all in, I will try to update this post at a later time.

These do work for their purpose of protecting maybe a garden, but not the best height to contain most dogs. Kind of difficult to get into the dark soil and couldn’t use many tools for the fear of breaking it, but if using for a way to separate animals in a small area it works. 4 stars since I think it’s a bit pricey for the quality.
