I would say that this is more of a large person hammock, as opposed to two people. Don't get me wrong… I love it, but I don't feel like it would support me and others. The color is nice. The quality is nice. It is durable and comfortable and sturdy… I see myself using it for a long time.

The stand feels sturdy and the overall setup was fairly straightforward, so there are definitely positives here. Once assembled, it seems stable and secure, and the included stand is convenient since you do not need trees or posts. That said, I did not find the hammock itself very comfortable. With one person in it, the sides pull up and cocoon around you quite a bit. Some people may like that feel, but for me it felt more restrictive than relaxing. I also would not consider this a true two-person hammock for actual comfort. Two people would likely end up rolling into each other rather than lounging comfortably. Another thing I noticed is that sitting sideways in it, like shown in the listing photos, was not comfortable for me either. The material tends to bunch underneath you, and I could not really find a position that felt natural for sitting upright or even leaning back that way. The trickiest part was adjusting it just right. It took some trial and error to get the hammock positioned in a way that felt supportive without hanging too close to the ground. Even after adjusting it, though, the comfort level still was not what I expected. I think the stand is solid and the setup is easy enough, but the hammock itself did not end up being as comfortable or as roomy as the listing led me to expect.

As an Amazon Vine Voice member and someone who loves spending time in the yard during anytime I can, I’ve found that a standalone hammock is one of the best upgrades you can make to a patio or lawn. The Garvee Double Hammock with Stand is a high-quality, heavy-duty solution that offers incredible value for the price. Setup and Assembly (The Pros): The setup was impressively easy. It took me only about 5 minutes to fully build the stand after taking it out of the box. I was especially pleased to see that every single piece was clearly labeled. While the design is intuitive enough that you probably could figure it out without the labels, I really appreciate that the manufacturer took the extra step to make the process foolproof. It’s a true "out of the box and into the sun" experience. Build Quality and Stability: The stand is made of heavy-duty steel and feels very sturdy. I am 5'10" and 203 lbs, and the stand handled my weight with zero issues. There was no creaking, swaying, or signs of structural stress when I lay down or moved around. The look of the black steel against the hammock fabric is very clean and modern, fitting in well with any outdoor or indoor decor. Comfort and Adjustability: The hammock material itself is excellent—it’s plenty breathable, which is a must for those hot summer afternoons. One of the best features is the adjustability. The stand has 6 different height settings so you can find the perfect tension for your weight. I found that installing it on the 3rd hole down was the "sweet spot" to keep me comfortably off the ground while maintaining a nice cradle. Hardware and Safety: I was particularly impressed by the connection points. The hammock ends use high-quality rope with a metal ring reinforced inside the loop. This is a huge safety plus because it ensures you aren't getting rope-on-metal friction which eventually leads to fraying. Having metal-on-metal contact where the hammock meets the stand hooks makes the whole setup feel much safer and more durable for long-term use. Value: At $63 as of this review, this is a fantastic deal. Most double hammocks with a heavy-duty stand that are actually worth buying typically retail for $100 or more. Finding one this solid at this price point is a bargain. The One Minor Con: The only thing I wish this set included was a small matching pillow. It’s certainly not a deal-breaker given the quality of the rest of the kit, but it would have been the perfect finishing touch for a nap-ready setup. Conclusion: If you are looking for a portable, space-saving, and sturdy standalone hammock, I highly recommend the Garvee set. It’s easy to build, comfortable to lay in, and built with safety in mind. 5 out of 5 stars!

This 2-person hammock with stand is impressively heavy duty. The stand feels very solid and well balanced, and it easily supports the rated 450 lbs. My husband and I can both relax in it comfortably without any concerns about stability or tipping. The design is also quite attractive and looks great on a deck or patio. We’ll mostly be using it shoreside at our cabin, and it fits perfectly into that relaxing outdoor setting. Assembly was quick and easy. With both of us working on it, the whole thing went together in just a few minutes. I also like that the height is adjustable, which makes it easy to get the hammock positioned just right. It’s already become a favorite spot-our grandkids love swinging in it, and I enjoy sitting in the shade by the shore with a good book. Overall, this hammock and stand set is sturdy, comfortable, and a fantastic addition to our outdoor activities. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a relaxing seating option to their outdoor space.
