There is exactly one product on Amazon which seems to be marketed as a bed headboard shelf, and it is NOT this one (thes guys are "selling" themselves as being for TVs, and believe me I'm going to use one for my TV too!). I bought that other headboard shelf and it was okay, but it was not especially stable -- like move your bed a few inches and it would come crashing down. then god bless amazon they recommended this one to me, even though it does not MENTION headboards anywhere, and THIS IS A MUCH MORE STABLE HEADBOARD SHELF than the first one I bought. So note to the seller: you might want to mention that (HEADBOARDS) somewhere in your copy so you get those search results, you've already earned them! Very easy to install and I appreciate that it is two pieces. I put one on each side of the tv. Depending on how tall your tv is though, the little cubbies aren’t usable because they aren’t easily reached. I liked this so well that I ordered another single shelf so that I would have one on top of each of my 3 monitors. I use the shelves to get my stapler, handheld calculator, and other small items off of my desktop. I also have a framed photo on one of the shelves. It took several tries to figure out the best angle for the legs/brackets so that the shelf would be level, but once adjusted correctly the shelves are very sturdy and I have no worries of them collapsing.
