I bought this tools for my nephew. He is on 8 years old and very like to play with me when I go to visit him. I think pottery is a very good option to play with kids. This tool sets are for basic job and they have 2 packages which is more valuable than others. I can play with my nephew together. They definitely will get you started and do the job. But don’t let your trimming tools stay wet they will rust fast. They all work great and very feel well-made. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and are half the cost of the set I would have had to buy through offline stores! They're not aesthetically perfect.

I put these through a lot and none of the tools broke or warped. I went through a beginning ceramics class and loved the tools, specifically the wooden thumb that I used for pretty much all aspects of the class. The sponges did shred some but I used them for opening up bowls on the wheel a lot.

I liked that these clay tools were two sets so I could share with my kids and have enough tools for us to use without having to buy multiple sets. The tools all seem sturdy and the handles of the carving tools are finished. The metal rib is very flexible and the needle tool has a safety cover. For the price you get some good tools! I am excited to use them in my beginner ceramics class. It had all of the tools required by my instructor, and the second bag gives me spares in case I lose or break a tool.

I expected these to be medium quality based on the price. I purchased 5 sets. They are good beginner tools for the price. Would have rated higher because it was a bargain, but the trim tool tip came off of a few of them during first use in a class I was teaching, and the wire tools broke quickly as well, and wooden tools were rough and people got splinters. Will spend more on a better quality in the future.

As a pottery beginner, this set is perfect for me. The size, price, packaging, everything is great! I don't know if it's just me, but as a beginner, I am hesitating to put down too much for something I am not sure. After a few practices, I am very satisfied with my investment.
