I ordered these headphones to replace the original wired ones that came with my iPhone 14. I prefer the wired instead of the airpods because I work on a small hall and I try to take calls at a lower volume speaking tone, which the airpods don't support but the wired ones do. About this item: 1) Yes, it is wired and fits the lightning port HOWEVER it connects as bluetooth (even has a pop-up labeled as "BEATS" when you plug it in). 2) There is about a 5 second delay in connecting audio. 3) When taking calls, you have to manually swap audio settings to route it back through the headphones each time. (Which really sucks because I use them for work and rely on being able to answer quickly and handsfree). 4) The microphone is absolute garbage. The feedback from callers that I've gotten is that I sound far away, it's hard to distinguish words and everything sounds like mumbling. 5) The microphone click piece is extra loud and clicky....imagine clicking a pen. I'm used to the original Apple ones where it's more tactile than audible clicks. 6) Visibly it's a good dupe of the Apple headphones, but the plastic pieces feel feeble and overall it's a noticeable lighter weight (in a cheap plastic way, not an ergonomic way). I saw this was rated 4.8 stars and failed to see that most of the reviews for this item isn't actually for this item! The few reviews that do relate to the headphones (and not the Son of God movie) are dismal reviews. Padded review ratings for an extremely subpar item. Hopefully this review finds you before making this purchase.

These ‘wired’ headphones have to be connected to Bluetooth in order to work, which makes absolutely 0 sense. The sound quality is horrible. Waste of time and money and of course no recourse from Amazon other than going out of your way to return the product via mail. On top of all of this, it seems like the seller somehow made it so that reviews for a Christian film on dvd show up instead of actual reviews for the product - wonder why.

These are worse than the free air buds you get on airplanes. Doesn’t connect well to iphone. Terrible sound quality. You can hear the speaker inside rattle around the casing. Do not buy!

What the heck is that? No where in the title does it indicate these require Bluetooth (yeah - the DC thing that’s a security risk and terrible on your battery) to use these. They simply don’t work without it (neither of the 2 sets) and all of the reviews on here lending it a 5 star rating (which would lead you to believe it was a no-brainer to buy cheap “Wired Headphones”) turn out to be phony comments about some religious movie? What is this crap? Don’t buy this scam stuff! Bluetooth required for wired headphones sounds like a HUGE RED FLAG

the lightning version are just bluetooth pods without battery that get powered trough the cables. they require bluetooth to be enabled. also the audio quality of these is not acceptable.
