  • Great for touchups on metal
Color: brown
Easy to control and great cover.

  • Work great
Color: gold & silver
These oil pens work great and we've used them for many things. My hubby will frequently use them on things that get greasy (mechanic) and he can still see the marks he's made. I would recommend these for a variety of things. Great value.

  • White is thin coverage
Color: black & white
The black pen has great and thick coverage but the white pen is somewhat thin on coverage. I had to do a few layers of the white pen to get a somewhat decent coverage of the paint. I used it on a light gray colored rock. If you were to use the white on a dark surface, you would probably need a lot of coats of this paint to cover it up. The flow of paint was great on both pens but the white just lacked adequate coverage. It is too sheer for my liking. If you need a light coating of white paint, then the white paint pen will work great for you. Neither pen dripped while using it and I did not have to press down on the black pen too much to get paint out. It had great coverage. ... show more

  • Worked great on metal (watch for drips on upright surfaces, though); beautiful color
Color: gold & silver
I’m quite happy with these paint markers. They cover really well and dry extremely fast. I got them specifically for creating contrast on the bolt on our front door. When I go to bed at night, the last thing I do before I go upstairs is glance at the door to make sure it’s locked. The finish on the metal is burnished bronze, or something like that, but it’s basically dark, dark brown. It’s difficult to see, especially in low light, if the lock is turned. So I wanted to paint it something with a strong contrast. I thought about painting it white, but then I thought gold would kind of look cool. When I first started trying to paint on the knob, nothing came out. Then I remembered seeing on the product page that you have to depress the tip. I did that against the knob, which was a mistake. Paint quickly dripped out and ran down where I didn’t want it. Whoops. I should have read the directions, but I didn’t have my reading glasses handy. And this stuff dries pretty much instantly. Sooo…be sure to equalize air pressure with the pen upright (this was especially a problem for me, being at high altitude). But it was easy to cover the knob, and after the initial dripping, I didn’t have any issues. Doing a close-up with my phone, you can see where the paint ran on the knob, but you can’t really see that in person. There aren’t any clean-up instructions on the packaging, so I tried what I had on hand: rubbing alcohol. I put a bit on a paper towel, and I was able to satisfactorily remove the paint that ran onto the faceplate. I really like how the paint looks, and it does a great job of letting me see which way the knob is pointed. The gold really does look like gold. It’s very pretty. I accidentally dripped a bit on the box, so I’ll upload a picture of that, too, so you can see how it looks on paper. Follow the directions, protect surfaces, watch for drips, etc., and you’ll probably be very happy with this. I’d like to have a whole set of colors! ... show more

  • Not so permanent markers
Color: black & white
Guess it depends on what you use it on. I bought it to mark pickleballs...and it came off on paddle!!

  • The gold one was brassy, the silver one was okay
Color: gold & silver
These pens do what they say. They are paint, and they stick well to whatever you're using them for. I didn't like them for jewelry making, as the gold is brassy, the silver is a bit dark, and they weren't an even shiny cover. The cover is good and long lasting. They would be great for some art projects, but they didn't do much for me in jewelry making. They colors seemed a bit sparkly, for lack of a better description. I would recommend them for many are projects, but they weren't for me for what I wanted them for. ... show more

  • These work great.
Color: silver
These are perfect for finishing touches on art projects. The tips are smooth and medium in size. If you touch the paper lightly you’ll get a small dot. Touch and press down you’ll get a larger dot or line. If touch up are needed with watercolors these will not bleed not smudge. Just paint over them.

  • Good Quality Pens
Color: blue
These have many applications but I use them specifically for marking hardware after torquing on vehicles. Once torqued it's a good idea to mark as a check to make certain you haven't forgotten anything Because these are permanent, oil-based, and water-resistant they work well for marking on less-than-ideal surfaces, like bolts and nuts on the underneath side of a racecar. I've found the pens have good quality tips that are durable, and the paint has held up for my purposes extremely well. Overall I'm happy with these. I know that my application isn't something the average person would use these for, but if they will hold up under a car, they will also work well for many less demanding applications. ... show more
