I bought these so I could hang my two bikes, but I moved into an apartment before it could happen. That being said, the wall mounts are very well made, and they look like they were exactly what I needed. I did plan to screw a 2x6 into the wall studs and then screw the mounts to that so I wouldn't have to deal with wall anchors.

In a tight area like a shed where you have more competing space-users than space, you must be smart about utilizing all the area, horizontal and vertical. These hangers let you hang the bicycle using all the vertical space, and then swing it to hug the wall. We have a lot of bikes and I can see that I'll order more of these to get the most efficient use of the space.

Once all was said and done, these are only ok, but I had problems installing them. As others have said, there are no instructions for installation. How they should be installed is fairly self-evident, but it's easy to understand how some people would have difficulty figuring these out. Immediately on handling, the linch-pin tied to string came unattached and had to be re-tied. Then, and here's the most problematic part, when I installed the first mount into drywall using their screws and drywall anchors and lifted a pretty standard "beach cruiser" (non-E) bike, the mount tore out of the drywall taking a chunk with it - luckily, as shown in the attached picture, I could push much of the drywall back in for ok appearance in the garage. I then attached the two mounts to studs, although they were not quite where I had wanted the bikes, and they held to the wall fine. However, with the same bike, the hardware is heavily torqued downward and I don't know whether that will hold up or not over time - see the close up picture attached. They do swivel nicely to the side, so I like that feature. If you have a light bike, such as a nice road bike or TT/tri bike, these should work quite well for you. Anything heavier and you may get them to work suitably, but beware. Although the mounts are described as heavy duty, mine really are not suitable for a fairly standard, albeit heavier than others, beach cruiser. Your mileage may vary.

These swiveling hanging bike racks are very useful to store bikes in a tighter space and get them off the floor. You place this device on the wall at a height where the front wheel of your bike can be hooked on and the back wheel can be lifted up above the ground and rest on the base of the wall. At that point, you can push the bike left or right to angle the handlebars closer to the wall and save even more space. These were easy to assemble and mount. Now we have enough room to fit the car in the garage too!

These do what they need to do. The metal is heavy and solid. The holes for the rotation pin seem oversized and therefore the bike can wobble slightly side to side - but only if it's bumped, so that's not a big issue. The rotation pins also only have gravity holding them in; thankfully, they came attached to a small black cord connected to the bracket, so they stay nearby if you drop them. I'm not concerned about the bike falling - and that's the goal. For the list price, they are a decent buy. I did not use the screws provided; I used screws I trust and washers I had on hand. Note that the top bracket has 4 screws while the bottom only has 2. The studs in our garage were not wide enough for all 4 screws, so I attached a piece of scrap wood to the existing stud before installing this. The only very big flaw is that there are no instructions. It's not rocket science, but when the hook pins fell out inside the shipping box, it took me a moment to realize where they were supposed to go. Since this is a product that could easily be purchased by someone with little to no experience, and which is going to hold a possibly heavy or expensive item, I would at least expect to see a simple line drawing of the final result - either on the product listing or on a paper in the box.

There were no instructions included, we had to reference back to the product page to see what direction it was supposed to face. Once we put it together, we were a bit hesitant that the pins included are merely held by gravity.. once installed, we tested it out and it held the bike well, which is all that matters. We can maneuver the bike by unpinning the swivel and replacing the pin to hold in a specific direction. The size of the mount is perfect for accommodating multiple sizes of bicycles. This certain size does have a bit of trouble holding a toddler bicycle., it works juts doesn’t quite look right. 4 stars because instructions written and included in the box would be extremely helpful.

I needed to hang up both of the bikes in the garage, and this did the job! I made sure to drill into the studs. And the hardware held up. I like how the mounds swivel, to make the horizontal profile while hanging up less. Functional, easy to install, and a quality addition to the garage.
