This soap base is made from glycerin that has been extracted from pure oil. The glycerin is distilled and deodorized twice, for a bar of soap that can be scented to suit your personal tastes. This goat’s milk soap base is also free of surfactants and is alcohol free. Country of Origin: This product is sourced and manufactured in the USA Soap Base Goat’s Milk contains Goat’s Milk. Refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) oils do not contain any proteinaceous material. The high temperature and filtration used in the RBD process effectively removes any proteins, potentially allergenic material from the oil. Furthermore, refined oils do not require allergen labeling under the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA). Stored Products: Allergens listed below are not found in the production facility, and those marked with may be stored and labeled in the warehouse in finished form. All products come from approved suppliers. Each product is evaluated on the potential cross contamination with other products and allergens in the approved supplier’s facility.

Absolute worse soap base I’ve ever used! My granddaughter (who lives six hours away) came to visit and was so excited to make some soap using lavender that we raise on our farm. I’ve made soap many times but I like using a goat milk base for the simple melt and pour soap that I was going to make with my granddaughter. This was the first time I ever used this particular base and I wish I had stuck with my “tried and true” goat milk base that I’ve had complete success with in the past. I knew we were in trouble when this piece of junk wouldn’t even melt in the microwave. I finally took it out and tried to melt it in a double boiler on the stovetop. I have a gas range so I was able to perfectly control the heat. Still didn’t work...just a lumpy mess! I put it back in the microwave and even though it never completely melted, I added my lavender buds and essential oil and spooned it (sure wouldn’t pour!) into the molds. We let them set overnight, hoping for a miracle (which I knew wasn’t going to occur), but the next morning when we took them out of the molds, they were a lumpy mess. My husband said I should label them “ugly soap” and try to sell them but I wouldn’t put our farm name on these horrible looking things. The worse part was the disappointment by my granddaughter who had looked so forward to making a batch of soap to take home. I don’t know if I received a bad batch of base or what the deal was, because I purchased this based on the mostly good reviews on here. I will go back to what I was using before. But, if you sell soap and want to use “ugly soap” as a gimmick, then by all means...buy this base. ... show more
