Set (of 4) 2 inch Heavy Duty Swivel Casters With Brakes (All Weights and Measures are approximate) WEIGHT: EACH +/- 262 g / 9 1/8 oz SET of 4 1kg 52g / 2 lb 5 oz SCREWS and WASHERS combined 69 g / 2 3/8 oz LENGTH while having the caster in the longest orientation from top of attachment plate to end of brake lever 114.3 mm / 4.5 inches WIDTH at widest point 50.8 mm / 2 inches HEIGHT 69.85 mm / 2.75 inches These casters feel like they are well made and have the heft I would expect a heavy duty caster of this size. While I'm certain there are burlier 2 inch casters out there, this particular set appears decently made and appropriate. Each swivels freely and has a locking brake. The brake is stiff and a bit unwieldy to attempt to engage in hand, but should be well suited for the task once they are installed under an object, as long as that object has enough weight riding on top of the set. Otherwise the workings of the brake may require more force than the item they are attached under can offset. If that is the case, downward force would need to be applied to the item to keep it steady when engaging / disengaging the brakes. These have a nice feature that not all do in regards to the swivel + brake. Once the brake is engaged the entire caster locks, not merely the rolling portion. There is no horizontal spin. After dealing with lighter weight casters that do not have this feature, I absolutely love it. The wheel compound did not leave marks when I tested, but under load that might change, although I do not expect it to do so. Overall, I would recommend these as an option at this price point. ... show more

These are great wheels! They come with two with brakes, and two without along with hardware you can use to install. I put them on my scrapbook paper cube what also holds my printer. It took MAYBE ten minutes to screw them on. I did use my own screws because I needed a more shallow screw for the shelf I was attaching them too, but they still feel really solid and attached. They roll really smoothly and easily even with the weight of the small cube, the paper, and my Epson ecotank printer on top. So far, no rolling issues whatsoever. They are the perfect size for my little shelf too! If I ever get another similar cube, I will definitely be buying another set of these! I am always happy to be able to move things around my office. ... show more

I just installed these on my coffee table to replace some old ones that weren’t tall enough, and so far they work great. They roll smoothly, and the locks do work (albeit a little difficult to press). However, the screws that come with it are absolute garbage. Every single one stripped while installing, no matter what setting I used on my drill. I’m going to have to use my extraction bits if I ever need to remove these casters. Overall, these are great, but I would strongly recommend using your own hardware to mount them. ... show more

I ordered these because I am always on the lookout for quality casters that can withstand the weight of all the furniture and tools that require mobilization for my craft and refurbishing jobs I am constantly working on. Installing these 4 caster wheels to a piece of 2x4x4 plywood was easy and they function even better than expected. The locking mechanism is excellent because it locks both the wheel and the swivel for total stability. Note that it doesn't come with mounting bolts, so you'll need to grab those separately.
